Anyone believing that firing Freeze will get them out of NCAA trouble is fricking nuts.
That might have worked before they put their response into the NCAA claiming that Freeze wasn't involved in any of the violations and that he had high moral character.

They're not arguing that the NCAA is going to be lenient now so much as they're arguing that Freeze was a lame duck coach with the impending sanctions and a new regime might be better for recruiting than one that's about to get hammered.
