This should worry you. A&M will not stop until it wins. This isn't the A&M of the past 100 years. We will buy every player, hire every coach, and eventually will win. You lose. It is a matter of when, not if. It is inevitable.
Haven't heard this for the past 84 years straight

I feel like this should worry aggies more. They're paying (tbh wasting) inordinate amounts of money on a program that has never and likely will never achieve anything post WWII. A&M literally paid App State to beat them last year, and then paid the Head coach responsible $77 million to NOT coach them anymore...

That kind of business sense does not strike fear in anybody

But also, I think we're going to understand the impact of NIL as we go into the future. I can imagine (or at least hope for) a future where mid-tier players field more competitive, championship teams because they aren't spoiled, entitled 18 year old millionaires who party and play a sport at a college.

I propose identifying players who are entitled locker room cancers, and paying them NIL $ to go to rival teams.

Won’t be long till the move to electric energy, including automobiles, have the oilmen watching the bottom line

That aside A&M sucks at hiring coaches.

How dumb and wasteful would people have to be to spend that much money on football players? Players that don't really generate revenue personally for you?

This. And, how about spending that kind of money so that an already rich football coach won't coach your favorite team anymore?

They say youth is wasted on the young. It's also true that riches are wasted on the rich.

Why is it a shock they spent that much? I mean what other reason would top recruits not from tx ever go there? Is it their great winning tradition? the amazing campus? the gay traditions?

It's hilarious how Aggy thinks they can buy a championship. Doesn't work that way.

So does Jimbo owe SlicedBread an apology? He actually underestimated the cost.

With an enrollment of 70k students, Aggies are going to run the whole state in a a couple of generations. Several of my co-workers are Aggies who are pissed that the school has gotten so big and they hate the Aggie chancellor because of it. But, I think he’s playing the long game. More Aggie alumni=more influence in the state.

I don't believe anything the idiot says but if true, reason 12,350 that he should be fired, along with every decision maker at the NCAA.

I actually believe that they offered a mil to Kincaid.

I will never believe that they paid 50 mil for that class

Now he is talking over all 4 years, but still.

I could see the 20 mil number being true though.
