If I am not mistaken it is possible for the replay booth to ask for a review on targeting if it is not called on the field. Is that correct? If it is it should be applied to penalties like the face mask that was missed and the PI that was missed. I hate anything that interupts the game but it would certainly tighten up the officiating when there are bang bang plays. And it should be done like the ACC does. Nobody likes flock cameras but the officials cant be everywhere all the time. The face mask would have been a perfect place to do it. I don't know how many people are in the booth watching how many feeds but they replayed that one almost immediately. Just curious.

How would a review made a difference when those referees were blatantly making these decisions?
They saw the obvious targeting, said they reviewed it (quickest targeting review ever BTW) and waved it off. No differently then their quickest review of the interception that last less than 30 seconds.
If anything an investigation should be opened on these refs because it seems they were trying to protect UGA at -2.5

Three coaches challenges.
5 yard delay of game penalty IF first coach challenge fails. 10 yards IF second fails.
15 IF third fails.
Injured player requiring assistance from the field is OUT for that half. Player safety.
Manage game to 3 hour TV window.
End the laser light show after every score.
Stop the BS whiteouts.
Stop the stripings.
3 year NIL contract; No portal.
No NIL; portal is always open.

You didn't lose that game because of the refs, you lost because of your defensive line. Only 1 sack (and that was on a busted play) and you gave up 150 yards rushing in the second half. You only had 3 possessions in the 2nd half.

The only reason UGA could kick a FG to take the lead was because those refs called a DPI. If not for that call you punt.
So try again.
