Whose gun ? In Cali that is a bigger sin than beating a woman.

He was definitely stupid to have that weapon in California, but it's not a career ender like a domestic violence conviction.

If he was in 40 other states he wouldn't have picked up the weapons charge. I'm sure his attorneys will plead that down for some community outreach program or some shite.

That hit gets him tossed in the NFL and is why he will have a severely diminished mental capacity when he retires, fortunately for him nobody will notice a difference

So, the girlfriend got into a fight, which she has video of, and then got into an argument with Foster when he tried to break up with her?

And after the fight, which left her with numerous bruises and at least a ruptured eardrum, she was like, "time to flag down a car and report Foster for beating me."

If true, that's one crazy determined woman.

On the flip side, it's not entirely surprising to see something like this come out AFTER the 49ers announce they would release him if he did abuse her.

I mean, it's not like this sort of "recantation" hasn't occurred before:
LINK
quote:

Prosecutors dismissed domestic violence charges against Panthers defensive end and soon-to-be free agent Greg Hardy on Monday after they said the accuser in the case couldn’t be found.

The dismissal happened just as Hardy’s appeal in the case was set to begin. Mecklenburg County district attorney Andrew Murray told the judge that officials attempted many times to contact the woman, but failed. Murray said the woman had reached a civil suit agreement with Hardy.

Just saying that all things should be considered. Maybe she did something very vindictive or maybe she just came to an understanding with Foster. I doubt any of use will ever truly know.

^^^This because even if the REC, 49ers or Reuben's attorney "are doing work,"
There should be a price paid to society for all the work the authorities go through on cases.
Girl, get off this taxpayers ' lawn.

Apparently Reuben likes his women like he likes catfish.

Well-battered and slightly salty.

Men faced with charges such as this face serious consequences, Duke Lacrosse comes to mind, and those bringing said charges must face consequences.

Jonathan Taylor also comes to mind. I don't know if he hit the girl in Georgia or not, but they never took it to trial. His scholarship offer from UA was very controversial despite the lack of a conviction in GA (again, I don't know if he did it, but if he did, the police in Georgia should have locked him up for a long time. They didn't.) He was accused in Tuscaloosa and immediately received a permanent dismissal, but his girlfriend in that case was proven to be "revenge" lying and was arrested for it.

With Taylor, that lie only cost one man's future. With Duke, it affected the futures of multiple people, shut down an entire athletic program, and cost one of the best coaches in the sport his job. There's not a punishment harsh enough for someone who lies to destroy another's life.

Did she say that she planted the assault weapon in his house that he is facing a felony charge on too? Also, one of his felony charges is "forcefully trying to dissuade a witness", so it's not a surprise that she would try to recant. It's common for victims of domestic violence to try and recant.

The DA has said nothing about not continuing to prosecute the case and they had said they felt confident in their evidence to prosecute whether she participated or not (and that was before she tried to recant anything). When women fight, you usually don't see them with bad bruising and a busted eardrum.
