What would have been some classic CFP games if it had been around?
Obviously, AU vs USCw would be mine.

There would've been an Alabama/Auburn rematch in 2013.

Auburn vs Miami in 1983.
I don't think that Miami team could stop Bo Jackson

Those USCw teams were stupid good in big games. It took an ungodly Vince Young performance to take them down in a big game.

Based on your list, that's the game I would have wanted to see the most.

They didn't have any problem shutting him down in the first game of 1984 when Auburn was ranked #1.

Had the CFP been around in 2011, LSU fans would only hate Bama half as much as they currently do.

Was at that game. Freaking Jimmy Johnson and Bernie Kosar.

Other fans hate Bama bc Yall have backed into more title games than a lot of teams make it to ever. You have made it to 2 natonal title games despite even winning your division in your conference. It's a joke. Of course a team that doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs or title game will play differently bc they have new life that was GIVEN to them. That on top of not having to even play in a conference title game is ridiculous and a huge advantage. If you can't see that, then you are a serious bama homer.

Slight homer pick, but this playoff looks filthy good.
Miami and Ohio State had a great national title game, but USC and UGA could stand to make those semis very interesting.

These would have been amazing as well.

In the first game they "backed" into, the alternative team wouldn't have had to play a conference championship game, either. And they had a shittier loss to a shittier team.
I can see this. It's the same reason Alabama fans claim they lost to Utah in '08 and Oklahoma in '13. Same with Auburn losing to UCF last year. The wind is out of their sails so who gives a shite. That argument goes both ways, right? Nonetheless, the team that doesn't deserve to be there has to actually prove it by losing for that argument to have any actual evidence backing it. As they say, "it's why we play the game." Everyone knew Notre Dame was undeserving as hell in 2012. Then they go and prove it by losing 42–14, not even scoring until Bama was up 35–0 late in the game when it no longer even mattered. But what if they came out and destroyed Alabama? The events of the 2011 and 2012 season undoubtedly helped talks of implementing a playoff because the flaws in the system were rampantly on display.

2012 I believe would've been:
1. Notre Dame - 4. Georgia
2. Alabama - 3. Florida
Might have had a NCG rematch of that SECCG classic.

Georgia fell below #4 after the SECCG loss, I'm pretty sure. It's kind of funny how in '08, '11, '12, and '13, two SEC teams would have been in the top four going into bowl season. Those high rankings of good SEC teams shouldn't stop happening just because the winner of another conference couldn't not lose two games before bowl season.

I’m sure you have unlimited sympathy for Alabama in 2008 when they were undefeated and had to play a Florida team with a loss in the SECCG

Miami wouldn't even have made the playoff. Think about that.
We really need to go ahead and put up the 83 and 04 banners.
