LOL. What do I need to know about the case? There are one of a few possible scenarios here.
1-She was raped and is now part of a cover up
2-She wasn't raped and the DA went all batshit crazy and charged people for no reason.
3-She wasn't raped and falsely accused people of a crime.

In any scenario, there are innocent people looking like criminals here. Either the players were falsely accused and suffered consequences that has changed their lives forever or she now looks like an a-hole for being part of a cover up. So please tell us which it is.

There seems to be plenty of evidence with or without the victim giving evidence.

So then why is she now saying she wasn't raped if she can't remember any of it? You can't have it both ways.

Or she's in denial and is dealing with the trauma of rape by denying it happened.

If the victim is very very drunk u can still be charged with rape because it ain't legal consent.

Well if she's going to claim that then she needs to face charges of slander against Vanderbilt's athletic department and their players. She shouldn't get to "just walk away" from this.

She should go to prison for this. It's a slap in the face to women that were actually raped and could have/did ruin the lives of the players that were charged.

I'm no expert on this case, but before you send her to prison, she never went to the police saying she was raped.

This very well could be the case, but she can't keep flip flopping, especially to the media.

She isnt saying that now. You need how to learn how read. She said this back in the summer when the cops first question her. The news channels are just bring it back up for ratings. She has no part in the DAs case. It is all video evidence, text and two of the charged players flipping on the others.

Here's hoping the accuser in this case (and in those similar to it) is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
But rape is a very real, life-altering and violent crime.
To characterize 95% of accusers as sluts is disingenuous.
Yeah that was a really stupid and thoughtless thing of Gcockboi to say.

Maybe that was worded strongly. She should have come forward sooner if that was the case. Also, if she never went to police or cooperated in the investigation she should have hired a lawyer to protect her from making terrible statements to the media.

Excuse me for not believing anything that you say about your connections with VU Athletics. You've called us morons and seem to be having trouble putting sentences together.

ETA:If she said this from the start then why is this news now? Why did players lose scholarships?

Ordinary people make stupid statements to the press all the time. I don't think the police pursued this case based on her testimony. The media reporting this now aren't really interested in what happened. They just want hits. And the Rant just wants football players on the field, rapists or not (a bit of hyperbole, but not much).

Yep. It's explicitly addressed as an element of our aggravated rape laws.

Not a law expert at all, but if she had testified in defense of the players, wouldn't that ruin the case, alcohol or not?

I don't need to learn how to do anything.

She initially denied it and shortly after cooperated with the DA in giving up her clothes and a rape examination. Not a peep was heard afterward of a denial. Therein lies the rub.

If my boyfriend is being charged with my rape and I didn't think it happened and a DA was pursuing it as the Nashville DA has, then I wouldn't exactly sit idly by and let it happen. If I know I've been raped, I'm likely not going to draw attention to myself if it's something I'm trying to get over/get past at this point.

Somewhere, something doesn't exactly add up.
