When you combine transfers, draftees and Taylor's departure, only 10 members of the 24-member, top-ranked class remain with the program.
What does this mean? It could be viewed in a variety of ways, but it definitely speaks to Saban's culture within the program. Obviously, four players living out their dreams in the NFL is a positive. But by stacking great class on great class every single year, even talented players have to fight 24/7/365 to earn (and subsequently keep) their jobs.

Maybe recruits will start looking elsewhere. But I doubt it. Id go to Bama to play for the goat as well.

There were only 3 members of the 13 class last year as red shirt seniors.

Shawn Burgess Becker to UCF - just wanted to play for the real national champions!

The cream rises to the top, and Saban skims that cream off every year to field a championship contender.

Intern Butch tried to coach him, IMO.

Must be tough leaving with a degree and multiple natty's. That Saban dude is a meanie.

So really only 6 have left for reasons outside of what you should wish for.
6 out of 24 is not that bad considering 5 years of eligibility, ~25 signees a year and a 85 man limit

And that results in no complacency, attention to detail, and championship rings.
It’s college football, not little league. The first day of fall camp my freshman year of college, our HC addressed the team and one of the first things he said was “I don’t give a frick how good you think you are, I can replace your arse.”
It is what it is.

Didn't qualify.

Sheffield had a shot at some playing but transferred after his freshman year.
Barnett has since transferred again from ASU.
Warmack has finished 4 years, got his degree, and now is deciding to transfer.
Flowers never qualified.
Taylor was dissmissed from the team after a few months after signing.
Alabama is not the only school players transfer from.

Absolutely. You would take this every time after three years.

Nobody else has draft class attrition. Only Bama.

True, but when you lose those caliber of players it effects that infamous reload process.
