Alabama is run like an nfl team of professionals and not a college team of student athletes

It’s college football, not little league. The first day of fall camp my freshman year of college, our HC addressed the team and one of the first things he said was “I don’t give a frick how good you think you are, I can replace your arse.”

It is what it is.

It's how organizations win. If you don't want to go to Bama because you are afraid of competition, we don't want you. Go play at those schools who think we are their rival.

True, but when you lose those caliber of players it effects that infamous reload process.

But it doesn’t

But by stacking great class on great class every single year, even talented players have to fight 24/7/365 to earn (and subsequently keep) their checks!

It's better for Bama when the struggling 4 5 stars leave the program because it opens up for new 4 5 stars

Really?..

"Alabama Football Wins 2017 AFCA Academic Achievement Award"
"The Academic Achievement Award is presented annually to the school or schools with the highest score in the NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) and a federal graduation rate of 75 percent or higher."

Every recruit that signs with Alabama is afraid of competition. They know they won't have to play against Alabama in a game that counts.

Cowards.

So really only 6 have left for reasons outside of what you should wish for. 6 out of 24 is not that bad considering 5 years of eligibility, ~25 signees a year and a 85 man limit

No. The class had 24; 4 were drafted and 10 others left the program. 10 remain for their 4th year. Still not bad considering the number of 4 and 5 star guys competing for playing time.

I feel like the author is trying to paint this in a negative light, but isn't this the way life works? It certainly is the case in my field of work. There is no tenure!

Yeah...except for the stuff like making sure they attend class and punishing them if they don't.

You have made multiple stupid posts lately. Must be a reflection of who you really are.

I'm trying to find the negative for anyone concerned in the transfer of Blake Barnett. Guy didn't want to stand on the sidelines wearing a baseball cap for four years and walk away with a degree from Alabama.

Think your OP is misworded

When you combine transfers, draftees and Taylor's departure, only 10 members of the 24-member, top-ranked class remain with the program.

If only 10 remain that means 14 have either transferred out, were dismissed, or declared early. We know that 4 were drafted last week, so that means 10 more that didn't declare for the draft have since left the program. I don't pay close enough attention to Alabama's roster to know who those players are or why they left, but clearly Alabama hasn't been affected by attrition so not sure what the angle is supposed to be here.

Yeah, that’s how it works at Bama.

You aren’t entitled to a spot because of what you did in high school. You have to fight 365 to earn your position, and your rings.

I don’t understand what’s controversial about that.

Obviously Saban just does not have this coaching thing figured out yet. He needs to completely overhaul his system if he ever wants to be relevant.

Bama will be lucky to win 6 games. There isn't any talent on the team.
