I was a student in 2005 and I don't remember any mass cheer like. At all. Frick you for insinuating it.
Not to mention Katrina ripped our coast to shreds as well. Many of us spent time on the coast helping friends and family clean up after it, and even more after Ivan the year before after it anihilated Baldwin County.

These are the two trashiest college fanbases in America due to the fact they are winners and in two of the poorer states, nothing surprises me from either one.

The chant “Frick...Saban... Fruck Saban” roaring out of the LUSer student section all over national TV was pretty classy in 2012 at Tiger stadium. Funny ... loudest I’ve heard a crowd right up until the screen pass... god...you could hear a pin drop afterwards.
