Remember when teams used to pull for other SEC teams in non-conference games?

Those days are gone. Chants of SEC - gone. I will be pulling against all of you and don't feel bad about it, because I know you will be doing the same. Time was when we would pull for each other, well, except for The Aggies.

It depends on who we are playing. We got a lot of support when we played texas last year. It was really nice actually.

I'm not sure why I wouldn't be pulling for LSU in their bowl. Maybe you can suggest some reasons?

That wasn’t the case, it was fans at the games who chanted SEC when their team won. I have rooted for certain teams in certain games, but I’d never chant SEC. It’s also funny ppl who go to these universities think SEC means something, it has nothing to do with college. It’s a non profit advocating for their members in athletics.

I pull for every SEC team except Auburn.
If Auburn played Notre Dame, the ideal outcome would be a 0-0 tie.

Mostly because in those days there was more parity in the SEC and the conference had a chip on its shoulder due to the clear bias the media had for the Big Ten and Pacific teams.

Internet has made me hate most of you(see ATPB thread). MSU was my #2 until Merlins pulled his shite with Cam. After he left I could like them again. State, Cackalacky, and Kentuck are the only teams, beside Auburn, I root for. The rest of you can die in a woodchipper, or lose to UAB... whichever hurts you more.

In the late 90s and early 2000s the Big10 and Pac10 were media darlings, along with Texas, OU, Nebraska, FSU, and Miami. The chant was necessary because the conference wasn’t getting the respect it deserved. Then we ran off 7 straight NC’s, huge deal with ESPN, SEC Network, draft picks, etc. The chant isn’t needed now like it was back then.
