It's because their entire self-worth is completely tied to the success of the Alabama football team. Like I have said before, there are some Bama fans who would let a Bama player rape their wife and kids if it meant a championship, and I do not believe that it's much of an exaggeration. Bama fans are a special kind of crazy.
