He knew the writing was on the wall and bubble was about to pop in Pullman.

Good on him for cashing out with high value and checking into a venue where 9+ wins, beating UM every couple of years, and occasionally stealing one vs a top 15 team makes you a king.

For all of that instate talent Mississippi has supposedly, neither ole miss nor state has won anything ever, not even at the conference level. Meanwhile, LSU is doing very well...so, yeah, that's a bunch of BS.

I mean MSU is the SEC equivalent of most of his coaching tenure up to this point in other conferences. He coached in Lubbock in the Big 12 and Washington State in the Pac. I'm sure he feels at home.

Exactly. He is comfortable coaching at programs where he can win 8 games a year and be a God and not have to worry about losing his job.

You know Louisiana has the most NFL players per capita of any state, right? I’m not saying they’re all going to LSU, but MS talent does not equal LA talent, even if you didn’t have two schools fighting for recruits.

Since Leach has been hired, LSU won a national title and players, coaches have left the entire conference to get away from Leach.

No. Leach knew exactly what he was doing when he took the job.

And MSU got a good coach.

Mike Leach isn't your typical guy. I doubt he gives a single frick about prestige and fame, he just enjoys the ride. He's built for schools like MSU, and for that I'm thankful. He's going to be entertaining in the SEC, and I'm sure MSU will enjoy him, as will the rest of the SEC, regardless if he sneaks in the Ws.

Louisiana produces twice the talent of Mississippi. Your statement is ridiculous.

MS would probably be right there with you, but a huge % of kids historically can’t qualify or stay on track once enrolled.

I don’t see Leach being that guy. The south is a weird place and I can see him walking into a recruit’s house and weirdo girl out him and mama. I do think they will have more out of state Florida and east coast talent coming in though.

I would like to see his face when he travels into the Delta looking for those cruits.

The delta has had some fairly decent talent as of late. It won't be any worse than some of the places he's been already.
