Awful Announcing

quote:

I regretted the vote because after Pavia’s behavior in the aftermath, I was like ‘Man, I’m glad he didn’t win.’"

I feel the same way. Pavia was so good, but man, what an asshat. Mendoza seems like such a standup dude, and I’m happy he won.

Paul Finebaum said he regrets voting for him too.

He was already a fringe NFL prospect now he's probably tanked that too.

i think standing next to people who are 6’ tall and clearly being 5’8” tanked his chances

I mean in theory the guy compromised it all by being a sore loser.
Should have used the platform to propel himself but he did the exact opposite.

People are tired of those attitudes and don’t want it to be associated with their team or business.

Guy really carried himself horribly as he became higher profile.

Think he comes from a trash family so never taught how to act

His behavior before should have told you not to vote for him. Dude is a total loser and has obviously been one for a while now.

ETA: But also, this whole "Heisman behavior" thing went out the window when Johnny Football won it.

I feel the same. I supported Pavia as a player, but his classless behavior, especially after losing the Heisman......well lets just say I will understand when life rewards him with what he sows. I will do my best not to enjoy it toooooo much.

Pavia has always been this guy.

He spent the game in Tuscaloosa grabbing his crotch and pointing at the student section.

Pregame he had his center run down in front of the student section and was practicing kneel downs while pointing and waving to them.

He was doing this stuff at NMSU when they beat Auburn.

This is not new, he's latino Johnny Manziel. That's his brand and he's actively leaned into it his entire time at Vandy, why some people excused it before and are morally indignant about it now is odd to say the least.

And then knelt in prayer after the game.

What did Manziel do in 2012 that undermined his case for the Heisman?
