Blaming other people and saying dumb stuff in front of the media?

I think the last few years have really weighed on him. He doesn't look like the same guy that was at Ole Miss. He doesn't have the same fire or drive. He's like a Jimbo Fisher now.

Nothing a hooker or two can't cure. But I'm going to assume the quality of call girl is lacking in Lee County. Maybe enough to give a guy this face:

I would take Ole Miss Hugh Freeze over most coaches. Auburn Hugh Freeze, not so much.

Yes. He always has the perfect game plan, but the players just missed passes or coordinators made the bad play calls, not him.

Brother Hugh needs a trip to the strip club.

Always the smartest person in the room.

He’s nowhere close to the coach he was from 2012-2015…..as others have said, he don’t look right. The years have not been kind.

I do think he (rightfully) blamed Bo Wallace after a loss in 2012 or 2013 when Wallace was just refusing to go through his progressions and doing his own thing.
That being said, he’s not the same coach he was when he was here. The recruiting is still there to a degree but he just doesn’t have the same passion for the game he had at Ole Miss (and even Liberty).
And I think it’s partly due to Ole Miss being his actual dream job. He grew up 45 minutes from Oxford and grew up an Ole Miss fan. Stated it was his last stop as a coach multiple times and it was his dream job.
I also think the stress of the Auburn job is weighing HEAVY on him. He looks like he has aged 10 years in just 2, always looks miserable and defeated.
Like someone else said, if Ole Miss Freeze was at Auburn, I 100% believe they would be undefeated this year and would have won 8 games last year. I just don’t think his heart is all the way in it

Yes he was. He has a massive ego like most coaches but has zero personal responsibility. He’s good at motivating teams for big games but even in his first year here we lost three games that we lead in the fourth quarter because of him.

Yes, he had always been fake. Just took some of us a while to realize it.

or his wife might be doing the opposite.

I remember people fawning over his first welcoming speech after he was hired at Ole Miss. They were starry-eyed.
I sat there thinking about how this was the same exact shite that Houston Nutt said 4 years prior. Quite literally some of the same things.

Throwing players/other coaches under the bus is his MO. He had said a few dumb things to the media but it was more because of his "aw shucks" persona.
If Auburn loses he didn't have anything to do with it; if Auburn wins it was because he coached and willed the team to victory. It'll be like that until his time at AU is done.
