Reb fans: re: Ed Orgeron

Obviously, no one knows how much of an epic fail Ed Orgeron can be as a head coach better than Ole Miss fans. So, does seeing the ecstaticism of the LSU fans over his employment in Baton Rouge remind you at all of how you all reacted to the Houston Nutt hiring? Nutt, like Orgeron, was an SEC retread who was despised by the first group of fans that had seen his shittiness first hand. Ole Miss fans, like LSU fans, were thrilled at the hiring of the retread despite the first fan base laughing at them. Just curious. FWIW, despite some differences, the situation does remind me of how elated Arkansas fans were with fatass despite not a single Wisconsin fan being sad to see him go. They have been better since he left and that is under two different coaches. For reference, here is an article from 2012 that has very few inaccuracies:

Is this a joke? The LSU fanbase had a meltdown when Orgeron was hired. It was an absolutely terrible hire. Are you just misinformed or just trolling?

I only lurked this board then, but it was a fun time. The Petrino vs Nutt pissing contests were quite prevalent, and, until about midway through the 2010 season, Ole Miss fans were rather confident that Nutt was superior. They were certain he would get them to Atlanta as promised because he had ridden Matt Jones, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis, and Marcus Monk to that feat at Arkansas
ETA: OM fans' lack of faith in the "QB killa's" ability to underachieve prior to the 2009 season is

Yeah the one that beat the shite out of the hogs. Yeah hes the one. Love how all these teams fans come on here saying how horrible he is and he beat the majority of them with a shitty offense. If canada gets the offense rolling coach O will have people forgetting that coaching gig at ole Piss.

I think it will show the reality of the Ole Miss program. His floor at LSU with the resources is 7 wins. His floor at Ole Piss is 2 wins.

And before some dumbass says "He was at Ole Miss. Nobody can win there", the guy had multiple pro bowlers, first round draft picks and first team All-Americans ON THE SAME TEAM!
For example. His teams in 2006 and 2007 that went a combined 7-17 (2-14 in the SEC) had the following players.
Patrick Willis
Greg Hardy
Mike Wallace
Michael Oher
Peria Jerry (First team all-american and first round draft pick)
Dexter Mccluster
Benjarvus Green-Ellis
John Jerry (current starting offensive lineman for the Giants)
Jamarca Sanford (Currently with the Saints)

Exactly. He had talent at Ole Miss. Ole Miss still sucked. Houston frickin Nutt was a massive improvement. Nutt's SEC record after 3 years at OM was 10-14. Ed O's SEC record in 3 years at OM was 3-21. Ed O inspired a song in which Ole Miss fans mocked him that became very popular on the Internet.
