If he has 8/9 wins this year, do the corndogs get restless?

Aggy gave Jimbo Fisher a raise and extension after this:

If lazy arse Brian Kelly can take LSU to Atlanta in Year 1, Lane should at least be in the CFP Semifinals in Year 1.

As long as it takes to add another trophy

I’d add a pic to show you what they look like but “fu** you” instead

We spent money to become competitive again fast.

Obviously there are no guarantees, but we want to be projecting up.

I dont think we feel like it’s boom or bust and the outside projection that we spend more than everyone else (we didn’t) and thus have more pressure than everyone else is wishful thinking

you want to see us explode after a 9-3 season.

But out of Sark, Elko, Kiffin and Cristobal who do you think has the most pressure to win a NC next season or get fired?

I suspect the seat will be warm in year 3 if he hasn't made the playoffs in the first 2. It's a pretty big contract so it's hard to see him getting less than 4 years unless he just completely bombs which I think is very unlikely.

Aggy has spent more money than anyone and they still don’t have a CFP TD to show for it

Imagine a world before uncapped pay-for-play where Aggy was signing 5* recruits from out-of-state…

Zero awareness in AggyLand. Zero surprise though.

How long does he have for what?

He has about 4 years to contend, if he doesn't, he'll be fired. Just like BK.

IMHO, he has 4 years to make a national semifinal. (We cut Kelly loose when it became impossible for him to reach that goal.)

This is one of those very rare occasions where I agree with Sidewalk. I would think as long as he is showing great improvement, he needs to have them in the playoffs by year three or his seat will start getting very warm.

Define “contend”.

Does that mean a 10-win season? A SECCG appearance? SECCG win? Playoff appearance/win?

Lane was able to pull in some nice 10-win seasons at Old Miss. But is that the threshold at LSU? I was told by NFLSURacist that it doesn’t matter what you do through the season, it only matters if you win a championship.

So national title or bust in year one?
Seems lofty.

Forever. Hes home sweet home now. Hes been mindlessly wondering around looking for a place that compelled him like Baton Rouge. Best Job in the world. No way he ever leaves.
