Do you think that this will start another domino effect or that it will just be a Big XII move (if they move at all)?

Are the supposed iron clad contractual agreements signed by a lot of conferences and schools post-2011 enough to stop more shifts?

if we go to 16 I don't know how that's going to look without switching to a pod system. I also think it's a bad idea as the desire to do this is based on adding tv markets which are funded by revenue generated from an antiquated bundle model that will go the way of the dinosaur in the short to medium term future.

Because the Big XII can hold a conference championship game with only 10 teams, they do t need to expand.

I feel it's only a matter of time before the big schools with plenty of $$$ split from everyone else, eventually leading to a ~50 school playoff division.

Wow, I can't believe I have to say this for a 3rd time today but Clemson will NEVER join the SEC, or Georgia Tech, Florida State or Louisville for that matter. All the SEC members that play these teams annually have agreements to block their moves to the SEC.

Jesus Christ.

The OU President Boren is pissed. Just last night he made his demands clear in interview. Go to 12 teams, convert LHN into b12 network, and have b12 championship game. He said all 3 must happen right away, and then hinted that OU will be gone otherwise.

I am pretty confident that if the SEC moved to expand again it would chase schools in Virginia and North Carolina.

Didn't realize this. If we wanted to go to 16 maybe Oklahoma and VA Tech for the East?? Or add VA Tech and another ACC team and move Mizzou to the West

And based upon my reading of the amended bylaws that allows the Big XII to have a CCG with only 10 teams, it also blocks the pod system, or at least blocks a CCG if you are in a pod system. The new bylaw states that a conference championship game is between the winners of two divisions that play a round robin schedule, or between the top two finishers of a single division league that plays a round robin schedule.

By going to pods, you could play round robin in your pod, but not within a division.

I imagine the footprint would extend into NC and VA if the SEC expands. Just don't see OU happening.

What a drama queen.

We heard the same kind of shite about A&M never leaving UT. It happens.

Money talks, bullshite walks. (I can't believe I have to say this for the third time today).

OU isn't happening without Ok State. In other words it isn't happening at all.
