Who’s going to buy all this dumb shite? There are very very few players that could pull off any real compensation.

Anybody can "hire" an athlete to rep any business entity. You'll see athletes in front Automobile dealerships, in newspaper ads, etc.
Merchandise is just a small piece of this deal.

I don't know about that. Contributors who aren't getting a big piece of the pie and who are seeing the All-Americans make bank might not react too positively. That could affect team chemistry.

There will be things going on around all these big time programs that folks like Paul Finebaum, ESPN reporters and commentators, and sports forums like this one will take to a ridiculous level, and it WILL take away from the sport itself and put it on the individual and his/her involvement.

Nothing earth shattering. Too bad everyone knows that schools will not live up to those guidelines.

So, agents will just have some leeway, as long as they give their words not to violate Rule #2. Bet Cam's dad is pissed he missed out on so much money had this been in effect when he was selling Cam. And what are the odds that some female athlete makes a Title IX-related demand when she can't sell her brand? Picture your favorite player's image up high on a plaintiff atty's billboard. Or on a casino's marque. Pandora's box done been opened.

I think Cam and his Dad have done pretty well for themselves since his AU days. Why would he be pissed ? That is like saying Bill Cosby is pissed that Coach O and LSU got away with things.

I can see this becoming difficult to monitor

Every Bama player will have an endorsement deal with the local Dodge dealerships, except it will now be public.

What are you blabbering about? This isn’t news. This shite has been coming for over a year now, plain for everyone to see. Go back to staring at your lawn.

I'm sorry but your point of view is clueless.

There will be track, swimming, and gymnastic athletes that rank in the top ten of NIL yearly rankings when said and done.

Their reach is international not regional.

I'm clueless?

You're a fricking idiot. Not one college athlete in any of those sports has any appeal whatsoever if the college name or logo can appear in the ad.

You know damn well bama will not break any of these rules.
You don't have sense enough to realize that the schools won't be the biggest point of concern. The sleezy "agents" and "home boys" that this will bring into the equation are gonna be a nightmare.

Well this is frightening.

Sounds like we might be seeing some of the shadiness of college basketball creep in, with everybody's uncle getting involved.

Except, this time it's legal. That was the only problem with it last time. If an Uncle or Dad wants to act on the player's behalf as an agent, then so be it.

The business model in some instances can look exactly like a Nike or Adidas contract. I could imagine the sneaker and apparel business is going to want a guy like Bryce Young, or Will Anderson to start modeling their latest brands as soon as possible.
