Restrictions for UA employees: UA employees aren't allowed to compensate or arrange compensation for current or prospective athletes.
Can't use NIL compensation in recruiting: Compensation can't be exchanged for someone to attend or compete for Alabama.
Several forms allowed: Compensation for NIL can be money, goods or services.
Time limit: Contracts are not allowed to go past an athlete's time with the Crimson Tide.
Professional representation limited to NIL: Athletes can have professional representation help in arranging opportunities to get compensated for NIL, but those representatives can't be involved in anything past NIL, such as future professional contracts or negotiations.
Full disclosure: Athletes have to share agreements with UA.

Actually, this will make NFL minor league less likely. Teams like Alabama will thrive

If that happens again, it'll be the player's arse!

I wonder how many additional associates UA will have to hire to TRY and comply with all that is needed. The player attention MIGHT be too much on making a buck instead of school or preparing for football. The HC's have another headache to try and resolve.
Perhaps 150 bucks a week for each scholly player auto deposited into their checking account would have been better.

That final statement about players having to disclose any agreements to the university should actually keep the schools' noses clean, if the player has to sign a compliance statement to the school.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I didn’t catch all the Bama games live last last Fall. Turns out, life goes on either way. I will not hesitate to go fishing or spend time with the family (non fans), if given the opportunity again this year. With the political BS, corona and now NIL, I am suddenly less invested emotionally in my favorite sport. I’m sure there’s a lot of this sentiment now.

Well this is frightening.
Sounds like we might be seeing some of the shadiness of college basketball creep in, with everybody's uncle getting involved.

Yep. Hence my thread title. It may be for the best for ALL of us in the long run.

Sounds good to me. Programs like Bama, LSU, Georgia, etc. will benefit from this. The rich get richer.

Wouldn’t a school like Oregon with Nike money benefit greatly with NIL. Don’t know if I like what this does to college football as a whole.

Now what happens when the player is benched, loses the starting position, year ends due to injury, etc.?

Please. Is this why you're posting on a CFB message board in the middle of the Summer?
You'll be watching and posting from the first kickoff till Bama plays it last snap along with 99% of this board.

I'm a huge fan of capitalism, but NOT in amateur sport...and that's what we NOW have!
