Watched a press conference that he recently held and he comes across as a disingenuous clown. Granted, I'm not a UF fan, but am I wrong?

I think this is why he can't recruit; even players in HIGH SCHOOL can tell he is a clown.

It's time for Georgia fans to back off of Mullen. He stuck his foot in his mouth and he's paid for it. That's in the past. Mullen is a good coach who is capable of winning the east as soon as this year. Georgia has the talent and motivation to make the playoffs but could easily stumble. The Mullen bashing is getting old. If he's a complete flop this season then talk but for now, let's let the season play out.

A lot of coaches come across bad in interviews. One thing I love about Saban. He is a animal which is exactly what a coach should be.

Gus comes across like he dont give a frick and wont even answer the questions.

Q - "Coach you are struggling on offense, what changes will you make"

A - "Well yea but I like hash browns with my waffle"

I have always hated Jimbo in interviews. No doubt he is a very good football coach but he is a absolute total douce in interviews. Cant even watch him

Merlins comes across and a goober. Almost like he does not know what he is doing but you know he does. He is a good offensive football coach but I think he may need some work running a program. Kinda like Chizik was.

Kirby has a chip on his shoulder. Always in the shadow of his daddy Nick. He is a perfect fit for UGA. Chip on his shoulder with no hardware in the case. JK.

Coach O? Well you know

He is a top 4 coach in the best league in college football, is a home run for UF and is leading their resurgence..which be it this year or not, is definitely happening. He’s no clown.

You asked.

He will piss in somebody’s Cheerios this year but won’t win his division.

Nothing against Mississippi State, but he recruited athletes there that they almost never got under any other coach. I wouldn't say "he can't recruit."

He might be a clown, but he is a clown who has a lot of my fellow Dawg fans riled up (aka worried).

Don't think so. Remember how Spuirrer and Gator fans acted towards us and our coaches? Pay back is a bitch and Mullen/Gators are our bitches.

No doubt he's a hell of a X's and O's coach. The problem is his recruiting is gonna catch up to him long term

He hasn’t humped any sharks yet, so he has that going for him.

how exactly has he "paid for it"?

He allowed a woman beater to continue playing at MSU. Now he has a woman strangler at UF and his response is "but were any charges pressed?" He's a meyer disciple which means discipline is non-existent and he'll do whatever it takes to keep his players playing. On top of that he's a clown that thinks he connects with the urban youth but is really just corny as hell.

One time last year...I think it was after Alabama man-handled LSU...I watched Coach O's post-game interview and put the closed captions on the TV for comedic effect.

The closed captions couldn't even translate what he was saying. It was like...&^%$*^!!...on the TV.

Right now 7.

Dude made Miss State relevant which is a very tall task

First year at UF finished top ten taking over a broken team

Needs to recruit better.

Needs a title

Not really. 33-39 in league play at MSU isn't relevant. I mean, it was for them, I guess, but that's pretty much a third tier team in this conference.

One time last year I watched the number 2 team I'm the country come into tiger stadium and get the absolute shite beat out of them, by a d line coach. What a sad day for Georgia fans.

I don't remember us ever getting blown out by a d line coach.

The sad part is, if y'all had a coach that was worth a shite ,y'all could have made it a 10 point game or so... All you had to do was keep running the football.
Instead y'all get blown out, and to be honest, it was way worse then the score, we kicked way too many field goals that game.

As a tenant in your head he is pretty excellent. Rent free for a year and a half and you still don't know how to kick him out. Start a few more threads about him and see if that works.

Moorhead is recruiting better than Mullen did. Sherrill recruited better too.

Mullen is a competent coach with a plan for player development, and over time that worked at State.

He does come across as a jackass who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, though, and I'm sure that makes it difficult for him on the recruiting trail.
