I definitely think Franks takes major steps forward with Mullen's guidance

What that means from a win/loss standpoint remains to be seen at this time

Franks will certainly not take any dancing lessons from him.

Seriously though he will make Franks a serviceable qb.

Where has this narrative come from? Before Dak, what QB did he have that was worth a shite?

He'll be better under Mullen. That should be pretty obvious

Chip Kelly was never going to Florida. He didn’t “back out”. Why you keep saying this is asinine.

Franks impressed me a lot Saturday. The Gators are the biggest threat to my Dawgs in the East. I don't think USCjr and Mizzou have enough good players to be threats.

Mullen was Tebows Qb coach and OC...why would he not get credit for Tebow? Meyer relies on the actual development and coaching of the players to his coaches. He isn't as hands on as other coaches. Except Special Teams.

Nope, I don't really think Emory will be that guy either. I think he's a bit too small-framed. You're gonna want a guy who is about 6'3" 230 and can add a ton of muscle to his frame. Mullen's offense needs the QB to be a physical run threat--a guy you actually have to tackle.
Mullen did run the UF offense with 5'11 7/8", 210 lbs Chris Leak. I doubt Emory would've been the first recruit Mullen called had he not seen a future for him.

Plus our 2019 QB Jalon Jones is about the same size.

Franks has exponentially more arm talent than Relf.

Franks suprised the hell outta me. Gotta see it against someone with a pulse though. Our O-Line will also do him no favors. It has to be better than last year though.

Justin Fields was Mullen’s first call, and it would have been a match made in heaven. I’m interested to see how he develops under Chaney. I’m biased but I think Mullen was a much better match for him.

It's more than possible. JG had similar circumstances last season, had an OL so bad he took 26 sacks, held the ball too long and only had a handful of TDs.

Fast forward to a new coach and new year and against WVU he completed 76 percent of his passes, had passer rating of 147, was only sacked once, got the ball out quickly and threw some beautiful passes.

The difference was night and day and he's not the only QB we've had where a year and/or coaching change has made a big difference.

I don't know what to tell you since Franks hasn't yet faced similar competition. You'll probably have to wait until SEC play to start evaluating him. But it's more than possible.

Besides, if Nate Peterman can become the starting QB for the Buffalo Bills after his college debut (and even his NFL debut) ANYTHING is possible. Certain QBs definitely develop under the right circumstances and coaching.
