On the same tier as Arkansas, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Missouri and Vanderbilt.

Pretty much this. LSU and Florida are top jobs, and which you view as the best of the two might come down more to personal qualities rather than anything you can quantify objectively. And, it may change from time to time. Right now, LSU's administration looks like a mess, so that has to be taken into account.

Auburn is a relatively small step below. You can win a title at Auburn, but it doesn't have quite as much going for it as the other two.

NIL has made most of of that irrelevant. In fact, it may have inverted the benefits of past success because the days of total dominance are probably over, but fans and administrations aren't going to accept that.

What mattered in 2019 doesn’t matter now. The sport flipped — roster rules, NIL, portal, calendar, everything. If you’re still talking like nothing changed, you might as well run two tight ends, and run the power I every play.

OM, Indiana, GA Tech, and Vandy are all in the top 10, with Texas Tech knocking on the door. Keep thinking you can do what you did 6 years ago and it will work.

LSU is a difficult job. They are historically an 8 win program that goes big every decade. They have less money than AU, UT, UF and UGA but expectations are on Bama's level. The school and campus are on Mississippi States level. Not to mention the state politics. There is a reason their last two hires were BK and Eddie O.

Florida - large population, which a successful coach can sign large product endorsements
LSU - built in natural talent
Auburn - most former coach retirees per population
Arkansas - ???

You can put Auburn, LSU and Florida at the same level, there really isn’t enough separating them to matter. Arky is a step below.

Florida would be ahead of the other two simply because of location. LSU then Auburn.

No state income tax for Florida.

That’s serious coin savings.
