That's cherry picked info from one year of which Bama didn't dominate the draft and LSU sucked. Now do it over 5-10 years
Louisiana produced 12 in the '20 draft and Georgia 22 I believe.
Once again, these are players FROM these
particular states not necessarily who played at LSU or UGA
Georgia has consistently out produced both Alabama and Louisiana when it comes to NFL players drafted the last 10 years and isn't particularly close

Here's a cool ranking over the last 5 years:

Not really and seems as though the gap is widening.
states that produced the most NFL picks 2022
Georgia-30
Florida-22
Alabama-12
Tennessee-10
Louisiana-10
Is the famed talent pool drying up in Louisiana or just being surpassed by the growth of other Southern states?
A one year data point. Excellent. The kind of statisitical analysis that will get you an F in Stats 101. I have seen potheads that showed up to class for just exams that knew better.

So true, low self esteem fan base. Will immediately jump to money when losing an argument which is often.

per capita
Please,just stop.
Means almost nothing in the scheme of things and Georgia was #1 in that category in '22

Well no shite.
Georgia has nearly double the amount of kids playing high school football that Louisiana does.
You're comparing a state of 10.5 million to a state of 4.6 million.
Georgia had 192 draft picks over the last 10 years while Louisiana had 97 according to Max Preps

Per capita means a lot to anyone who correctly understands how statistics work.

I said it was an exceptional year for Georgia but be my guest and go back 10 years for Louisiana and Georgia and one
is trending up and one isn't and it's obviously due to population shifts.
Doesn't take a analytics "genius" to figure out.

LMAO!
It means NOTHING when assembling a 85 man CFB roster.
You go ahead and select all the players you want from Mississippi and I'll take
California...let's see who has the best team.
Geez don't know how many I have to explain it to you.

Per Capita does not mean anything. You don't recruit "per capita." I don't know why a per capita statistic is even computed or discussed. It has no relevance.

NFL Draft Picks By State
2015
Georgia 30
Louisiana 10
2016
Georgia 15
Louisiana 5
2017
Georgia 27
Louisiana 15
2018
Georgia 11
Louisiana 11
2019
Georgia 13
Louisiana 10
2020
Georgia 21
Louisiana 12
2021
Georgia 21
Louisiana 13
2022
Georgia 30
Louisiana 10
Only went back 7 years but Georgia doesn't appear to be "trending up," they just seem to ebb and flow.

Ya think? I was responding to an idiot
who didn't understand my original statement
My ENTIRE point is that your talent pool MIGHT be flat-lining and getting wider compared to other Southern stares
due to population shifts.
No idea why this gets so many LSU fans twisted.

They don't, I had to use a one year data set.
There was no accurate way to judge it over ten years or so.

So is
Ii more than likely is over the last 10
year and Louisiana isn't and no doubt over the last 20 due to population shifts
Pretty simple

Why do some of you fricktards keep mentioning no one else in their state to recruit against? Do you think the state borders prevent players from leaving? UGA has multiple former national champs within a few hours drive.

Instate talent has always been a factor in college football program success, this board wasn't the first to come up with that idea.
Maybe it doesn't apply to Georgia as much due to having those programs nearby but that doesn't mean it isn't a factor.
I would bet that you have far more Georgia kids on your roster than any other state.
