I usually enjoy trolling corndog fans, but how can you have will wade at the bottom of tier 3 and people not think you’re not trolling?
It’s not a big deal, guy has only been a head coach for 5 years.

ridiculous. will wade
1. STILL hasn't even been on campus for a year
2. never coached ANY of these players before
3. had a crap returning roster
4. magically cobbled together players to fill out the roster
5. pulled a rabbit out of his hat landing waters
6. won 8 conference games in the toughest sec season ever
7. coached up several players to surprising improvement
8. won a postseason game
9. has the #3 class coming in next year
10. isn't under investigation like someone is about to be
at this point, only cal can match this list. if lsu loses tonight then i would vote for him. ky is starting to gel and win at a higher level. howland and barnes had their moments. i really liked what pearl had going early but they fizzled and there could be a cloud over the program, go figure. wade had ALOT further to go than anyone else and ended up with a respectable season and a promising future.

These are all things I don't hold against him. His ranking in my list was due to the fact he hasn't been there long. I thought about just not ranking him at all because it's not really fair to him at this point.

You will have a strong case for Wade to be near the top of this list this time next year. Lets give it a second, and enjoy still flying (somewhat) below the radar.

Pearl
no final fours, 31 point loss in the NCAA tournament to a lower seed
put him last

Definitely
1A - Cal
1B - Wade

Couldn't place Kennedy because so many A&M posters tell me how bad he is, but he is in the sweet16 so idk
Kennedy is not coach K but he isn't tier 3 either. I have come to accept the fact that some A&M fans expectations faaaar exceed our pedigree in basketball.
Kennedy is a solid tier 2 coach.

Kennedy in tier 2
Two Sweet sixteens in last 3 years
A final 4 would move him in to tier 1

all of them suck if they can't manage to get SEC front office to hire/fire better officiating crews.

But these lists are usually just "evaluate each coach's Wiki page" and it's impossible to judge a coach like Howland against a coach like Drew.
I would say that putting Anderson and Avery a tier above Howland based on their careers so far is pretty crazy but other than that it's just whatever.

Kennedy has a SEC Regular season co-Championship and 2 Sweet 16 visits. Don’t understand why aTm fans think they can do better. If there was not a drug problem, the Aggies would had better in conference play.
We have the smartest fans who know better than every coach in every sport we play.

Give it 2 years and Wade will be up there with Cal. You can already make an argument for Wade to be up there with Cal

Interesting that Howland is rated so low. He is quietly putting together a tremendous program at State.
I don’t pretend that it has been easy but this team has no Seniors and the three players coming in next year are very good.
This years team can be infuriating at times but they have gotten better through the season.
Sunday was a prime example of infuriating
We lead 40-20 on the road against Baylor (a team w/4 Seniors starting), they go on a 51-22 run, lead by 9 with under 4 minutes to play. We are dead. Well no not yet. Kids are never give up and win on Q’s buzzer beater.
Play at Louisville Tuesday. We should lose but I don’t count our guys out as we are capable.
So on the three years so far at State, Howland is not at the top but he is slowly moving up the totem pole. For this team this year was right time to be in the NIT. It is another stepping stone. Anything from here out is gravy. Although I would love to see us go to MSG.

Yea, State is going to break through next year. No doubt about it IMHO. Talented, experienced, athletic. If they can be a little more consistent offensively the sky is the limit.

I look for State to have a big year next year. Howland needs consistency out of his team and once those guys grow up some and mature, they'll be very good.
