Bama leads 55-38-7...prior to Saban the record was 44-38-7...hardly a rubber stamp. The Iron Bowl is currently 45-36-1...very comparable to what people over the age of 40 know that the TSIO was until recently.

You don’t get to use pre-Saban stats because we have to face the same Nick Saban as you do. You have lost about 8 more games to Bama than we have and are currently on a 11 game losing streak. So, again, in what way should TSIO be the top rivalry in the conference?

The Iron Bowl is a great game, but it lacks the importance of continuing to be better than the other 2.

At least from Bama's perspective.

You mean from your perspective. I don't consider LSU anything more than a fun SEC game against a good opponent.

That is funny because in 10/13/16 they knocked you of the the SECCG.

I am not surprised that the board dumbs and board poors are shitting on TSIO ITT. TSIO is right there with tOSU/Michigan and OU/Texas when you look at both teams' historical success, tradition, and length of rivalry.

I’d agree with your rankings. TSIO has drastically fallen. 15 years ago it might have been up there but not really anymore.

BTW, I’m old enough to remember Bama’s streaks over all the SEC in the 70’s.

I love it when people say dumb things.

36-45-1 (bama lost the last game played)

38-55-7 (bama on an 11 game win streak)

25–52–5 (bama on an 7 game win streak)

Pick which series looks more like a rivalry.

Because college football didn't start 11 years ago.

However, the last 11 years counts. Auburn fans in 2007 were talking about taking the Iron Bowl series lead one day. Saban stopped that narrative in its tracks.

I would say of the two with the same winning percentage, the one where they have played the most games. So the one where the just played their 100th game is the bigger rivalry. The last 11 years are 11% of the games played in that rivalry...there are another 89% of games that have been played.

11 years is 11% of the 100 games UT and Bama have played. So, while it may be a large percentage of the years you have been on this earth...with regards to the TSIO, it is a very small portion.

America doesn't deserve TSIO

It's that good

Overall, Nebraska is still a top three powerhouse then. Whenever the rivalry is worth a damn again, I’ll let you know.

Actually they never were a top 3, but they are a top 8.

Just because a program has been down a while doesn't mean they'll stay down, especially when they're arguably a top 10 program.

Which is hardly the only time losing a game ever did that.

Team 1 - 8 SEC titles
Team 2 - 13 SEC titles
Team 3 - 11 SEC titles (working off memory here)

You tell me.

When you consider games of more value, it more easily explains why you're #6 among the big 6.

Hell...I remember when Georgia Tech was our most hated rival, but Tennessee wasn't far behind.

At one point they were. They claim 46 conference championships, 5 national championships and the third most wins all time ( including the most wins all time against power 5 opponents.)

Man...Bobby Dodd hated Bear Bryant. Of course, a lot of that came from Dodd playing against Bama in the TSIO when he was a quarterback at UT.

No one outside of Alabama or Tennessee even remotely cares about that rivalry, nationally speaking.

Iron Bowl
DSOR
WLOCP

These are the only rivalries that are more often than not nationally relevant.

I mean the Iron Bowl and then the DSOR decided who would play for the SEC title, and then who would win the SEC title.

The WLCOP has also produced the most frequent visitors to the SECCG.

TSIO has just become another cupcake in the Alabama diet.

Alabama's record against Auburn would be more lopsided than our record against Tennessee if the Iron Bowl hadn't been put on hiatus for 40 years.
