After a break, because nothing changed, we are now back tracking the greatest question in SEC Basketball: who's the worst?

South Carolina has long been the team in this conference unable to get a win. Whether it is heartbreaker or beat down, this team has yet to see the higher number on the scoreboard in conference play.

LSU claimed it's second win against Oklahoma giving them a 2 game lead ahead of the Cocks. This is pivotal for LSU to avoid the suck going into the final stretch.

South Carolina could find itself with strange momentum if they pull of a road win against LSU. The remaining schedule includes home games against Texas, Arkansas, and Georgia all teams that are better than SCar but not to the level of an Auburn or a Florida and all have to go on the road in the SEC. There are win opportunities on this schedule in the final five after LSU.

LSU on the other hand has a schedule Problem and that capitalized P is on purpose. Yes LSU has a two game lead on the cocks but with a loss that becomes a one game lead, see Alabama people can do math. Finding a win after Arkansas is perilous as LSU hosts three top ten teams in Florida, Tennessee, and Texas A&M and goes on the road against two top twenty teams in MS State and Kentucky. Find that win in there, stranger things have happened but I wouldn't bet on it. It would be the toughest final five games in the country if Alabama's schedule didn't exist.

So tonight LSU wins they can get some much needed cushion going into the last weeks. If the Cocks take it they can push forward and pull themselves out of the hole of shame they find themselves in.

May the slightly better team win.

An Alabama fan writing more about an LSU game than any LSU fan would bother to write.

Hey

People in my state finally care about basketball. I've been waiting for these days my entire life.

Though I do expect some paragraphs of anger from LSU fans if Will Wade becomes Texas's head coach

Wade's been doing this for years now, has nothing to do with LSU other than they happen to be one of the teams racing to the bottom this year.

With Arkansas winning their 3rd SEC game it is becomes unlikely they will tie for the worst team in the conference. Congratulations for now Hogs. But wait what is that in the distance??? Two awful teams desperate for a win both coming to play you.

Vanderbilt has the head to head win over Missouri giving them their lone win. They host Texas A&M tonight and then head to Tennessee to face the conference's most complete team on the road (metrics wise they are the most complete, but you're the most complete team in our hearts SCar) They have a game AT Arkansas on the schedule but if you're banking on getting a win at Bud Walton you're in for a bad time. Even against this Arkansas team.

Missouri is still searching for that elusive first SEC win. On top of being one of the worst Missouri teams in recent memory they are battling injuries. They go to Ole Miss this Saturday and follow that up by hosting Tennessee. They also travel to Arkansas. The Tigers need to not only win their first SEC game but then another and hope Vandy loses out, otherwise the best they can hope for is dragging the Commodores down with them into the pit of awfulness.

These are historically bad teams with games against good to great teams remaining. It is hard to find a win for either.

pro-tip for both programs: there’s currently no benefit to tanking in college sports.

This is bad.

You would think getting rid of your HC and hiring a new one might be of some benefit, but apparently that's not a consideration for our AD.

At this point in the season....what's the point? We are out of contention for everything except the bottom of the conference at years end. I think we should go for it because....why not. It's the only thing left to accomplish.

Then write posts about your team, and your team’s post season chances. Lol

Why the F would any fan of a team that’s going to be a 1 seed give a shite about teams at the bottom of the standings.

But troll on dumbass lol

Man

You tell Arkansas fans their team is bottom quarter of the conference they agree and talk about how it sucks, same for Mizzou, same for SCar, damn man sane for Vandy

You point out that LSU is in competition for the bottom and out comes the butthurt

If it’s any consolation fellas Mizzou was rock bottom last year and are solidifying a tournament bid right now, hell they’re ranked. Vandy is vastly improved. Yall don’t wanna be in the Race to the Bottom pay some shooters don’t know what to tell ya
