Don’t wait on other people to tell you what enjoy more.
As a fan, winning a tournament is cooler… but SEC regular season title is more impressive… doing it over 18 games.

lol why are you talking about final 4s TN fan? You’ve never been.
You’ve only been to the Elite 8 one time

I'd want the regular season title. That mens a great, memorable year. The other two are great, but briefer moments.

How many final fours have you personally played in? Imagine thinking what colors you wear dictate whether or not you can have an opinion.

Well I’ve been alive and went to the school I cheer for. Had a cousin on the 1995 team.
I’ve seen 4 final 4s in my life.
Anyone in the history of TN basketball has seen one and that coach is now at Auburn so you won’t get back. Ever

That’s not the rafters of The Palace. That’s the players practice facility.
And yet UF (a supposedly inferior program according to y'all) doesn't have those.

The biggest difference for me is are people more likely to remember the elite 8 teams or the conference champions? It's definitely conference champions.
Once you break into the final four most fans will remember those teams over conference champs.

That's a straw man argument. You said yourself that people will remember Final Four teams first and that's the point. We can argue over whether an Elite 8 appearance or a conference title means more, but no one really cares about either.
Outside of Alabama and Arkansas last year, I can't name other SEC teams that only went that far, but I can rip off Final Four participants going back to the late 70's. I also have a hazy recollection of how far Arkansas has advanced in each NcAAT since the late 70's, but I couldn't tell you which years we won a SEC or SWC title, because I really don't care about them.

1a) SEC regular season title
1b) Elite 8
3) SEC tournament title
Swap Final 4 and Elite 8 and it's as follows...
1) Final 4
2) SEC regular season title
3) SEC tournament title

That's my point... no one remembers elite 8's. They do remember Final 4s. I do remember recent conference champs and can tell you if a school has won one in the last decade.

This is 100% false. If conference championships don't mean anything and no one cares about them. Then no one cares about anything less than a national championship either. Who gives a frick if you finished 2nd, 3rd of 4th in that case? Maybe only Kentucky fans feel that way since they have like 40.

I can remember past razorback teams that went to the elite eight or final fours but I don't remember if they won the conference or not.

Like most things it really depends. If you’re a 1 or 2 seed in the NCAA tourney and get bounced in the Elite 8, it’s really more of a disappointment than an accomplishment. I mean I don’t think Auburn fans and probably UK fans will be thrilled with an Elite 8 run this year. LSU, Tennessee, Alabama much more so.

YOU remember those. No one outside your fan base does though.

In my opinion, the elite eight is where the cream begins to rise to the top. It is where the team that you root for maybe in serious consideration of winning it all.

Depends on age but many college basketball fans still remember the 94-95 final fours and Nolan Richardson.
