Question for LSU/Saints fans

How would you feel about the Saints drafting Trinidad Chambliss for the first overall pick next year?

Saints have their QB in Shough, but Chambliss would likely do very well in Kellen Moore's offense. I wouldn't mind drafting him in the mid rounds if still available.

If you think LSU fans would stop pulling for the Saints if they start an Ole Miss QB then, again, you aren't familiar with the Saints.

Saints have *a* QB in Shough but I don't know that he's *the* QB yet. He plays like shite for 3 quarters a game and then the light comes on and he's all-pro.
But no, the Saints have other positions of need. If we are drafting an Ole Miss player in the 1st, I'd rather have Echoles or Lacy.

I don't know if that's Shough or if it's Kellen Moore feeling out the opposing defense then adjusting. Saints are killing it in the back 3rd of the game. Either way, you can't keep starting that slow in the NFL.

Brother, Mark Ingram and Roman Harper are both all time Saints players to us. But, we aren't going to get that pick and we aren't drafting a qb in this upcoming draft.

The Saints dont need a QB, so I'd think it was a wasted and unnecessary pick.
Funny enough, one of the only complaints people have on Shough is his age... he was an older guy coming out of college (injuries), so people were concerned about how old he'd be once he developed and how that would shorten his window as starter.
Luckily he started the back half of his rookie year and looks ready.
Chambliss would not only be a wasted pick, he'd have the same age issue Shough did.

Brother, I don't have any problem with Shough.
As you yourself state, he plays great at the end of games when it counts, even when he doesn't look impressive early. That's 100% a trait I want in my QB. And for the record he also has games where he looks good all game.
I think if/when we get Jordan Tyson on the field with Olave, it's gonna be special.
Sadly, Chambliss may end up in Cleveland or Atlanta.

It was Shough against Detroit. He was truly miserable in that first half.
