I like UT. Always have. Had I not gone to AU I would have gone to school in Knoxville. Cool town, good people. And I like watching Zeigler and Knecht ball out. Y’all go get it done. War Damn Rick Barnes.

Same. Barnes deserves a title. Most of the Tennessee posters on this board don't, but Barnes does.

Would be sweet! Who knows though what will happen. We have the pieces and capacity to go the distance this year. But the outcomes of this tournament is about as cut throat and often times random as it gets in all of sports. One lucky bounce on the rim there or whistle in either team's favor can sway these games.
Regardless, it's been so enjoyably satisfying having a perennial upper echelon SEC/NCAA tournament qualifying shoe in caliber basketball program at a traditionally football centric school like Tennessee. Outside of the four transitory years we had in between the Pearl and Barnes era where we only made the dance once when Cuonzo's team eeked into the Last Four en route to a Sweet 16 heartbreaker, we have made the NCAA nearly every year since we hired Pearl 20 years ago. As someone who grew up a Tennessee fan in the 90s, I remember how truly awful we were at this sport once. I'll always appreciate how Pearl and Barnes proved that my alma mater can hang with the best of them in men's college basketball!
