Bama fans have the most grandiose thinking always. The fact they think a loss to Auburn will still get them to the playoffs is hilarious.

The fact is, whoever wins the SECCG will represent the SEC this year.

Same principle as The U losing to Clemson late and still think they'll get a birth.

Late loses hurt more! The REC can't help you

I wouldnt speak too soon. the sec is known for protecting its best shot. right now that best shot is bama so we will most likely have to beat them and the refs too.

As long as Georgia beats GT and Kentucky. If they drop one of those it may give the perception that Georgia isn't that good.

If Auburn wins out, and Georgia doesn't tank, they are a shoe in to me.

However, never underestimate the Midwest journalism machine's ability to schill for Ohio State.

Dude read the board. I have not seen one Bama fan say this. Every single post by Bama fans is that we expect to get left out unless Bama wins the I B. Some have suggested that a loss to UGA, could possibly send both Bama and UGA. This depends on if other conferences have 2 loss champs. You are literally making up stuff and claiming Bama fans have said it.

Not necessarily on the board, but I've got 6 really good friends that all graduated from UA with either a BS/MS.

Every single one of them claims 1 loss, they're still in...

Well, just remind them that tOSU had a stronger schedule last year than Bama does this year. If FSU had a good season there would be a chance, since FSU has a losing season and the committee emphasizes strength of schedule and conference championships, then Bama will not have a leg up on anybody. Bama's best wins are LSU and MSU. Without a win over Auburn, they just don't have the resume to do what tOSU did last year. Also tOSU's poor performance in their playoff game last year, hurts the chances of the committee doing it again this year. Bama's playoff chances are all hinged on winning the Iron Bowl.

It's possible. Only a few results need to go the right way for it to be probable.

So all Bama fans = your 6 friends who have a favorable opinion about the football team of their alma mater. Got it.

Had that loss been to MSU this past weekend, followed by Bama winning out.....then yes I would have agreed with that statement.

Now, we have to win out, otherwise it's not happening.

Yet Auburn fans think they will make it with 2 losses?

Not if they have 2 losses.
If Auburn wins the SEC it will be:

Oklahoma
Miami/Clemson
Wisconsin
UCF/Alabama/Miami/Clemson

Be sure to make a list of all those excuses you're coming up with 2 weeks before the game. Planning ahead for losses is always a good idea.

if Miami loses to Clemson late and it is close, how would Auburn be better with a loss to LSU also on their resume?
Clemson beats Miami and Clemson and Miami both go. Clemson is a returning champion, and Miami would only have one loss and that to the same team that beat Auburn.
If Auburn wants in you have to beat Alabama badly. Georgia badly. (To clarify...you have to beat Alabama as badly as you beat Georgia)

I love how they are acting like they are the undefeated number one team going into the Iron Bowl. Just keep encouraging them because when the IB comes and they realize that Bama is still Bama and they are still just lil Bro, the melt will be glorious.

2011 Bama says hello.

Defeated in November, forgiven in December.

I'm not going to take anything away from Auburn, because right now they are a very good team. They might beat Alabama.

But if they think those 2 losses are just going to be forgotten, I think they will be surprised.
They are in a bit of a pickle, actually. If they beat Alabama badly (Which I think they will have to do to get consideration) then turn around and beat Georgia badly, people will just say Alabama and Georgia had not played anybody and were both overrated. that second loss to LSU was a huge deal for them.
