No problem if Elko gets a raise but this Jimbo buyout stuff better not happen again or everyone anywhere near that contract will be run off.

Without question, his agent will get a call from PSU. He might leave, he has certainly moved around extensively in his career but I think PSU would have to make an outrageous offer. PSU is not well positioned recruiting wise and I haven't seen them make any splash with NIL although admittedly I haven't followed that close.

Lea has absolutely no NE connection and played at Vandy and holds two degrees from there. He may eventually leave Vandy, but I would highly doubt it’s for a school not in the Southeast.
Franklin was from Pennsylvania, so it made sense.

Prior to Franklin getting fired, PSU had the #5 class for 2026, and the #1 class for 2027. Thats no longer the case after Frankling got fired, but they recruit just as well as anybody.

Where Schlossnagle evinced poor character was accepting the job while his current team was still playing, and in recruiting against his current team.

What kind of accent does a PSU coach need? Will he have to get some training on the transition?

You bet your arse you would. Maybe not both of them, but you'd probably have interest in one of them.
So the question is.. Is Penn State that school for him?
If so, is it possible to make it work without totally screwing up the current season while also preparing for next year at a new school? That's the harder part of the equation imo. The timing at the end of the season, especially now with only 1 portal window, makes moving after a playoff run really difficult.

A&M can match any offer, and Elko is successful and happy where he's at. Makes no sense.
I don't believe BK is a serious candidate that PSU is considering.
Matt Rhule and Cignetti have to be at the top of the list. I'm sure they'll inquire about Kiffin, too.

He’s not winning anything of value at A&M anyways. Might as well go to the Big10 and finish 10-2 every year and sneak into the playoffs.
