You didn't need tv ratings, Missouri was never a fit, because:

Inbreeding isn't considered "Family Fun"
No where near the Redneck Hoosiers
Less than 1% of Missourians have Truck Nuts

It was a border state
The Missouri Compromise (1820) made them a slave state however they were on the Union side during the Civil War.
So they have ridden the fence for the N and the S.

When they joined the SEC, they just came back home to Moma after 150 years of exile.

Missouri is more than twice as big as Mississippi in population, and Mississippi has two teams.

1. Pretty sure it isn’t as easy as “cut the cord”.

2. Many of us would have preferred the Big 10, but we had to settle for the SEC

What is funny to me is I watched a lot Mizzou this year. I used to envy their qb(Lock) great deep ball. But now I envy no other team's qb.
