So Bama missed 14 years of Auburn being good and Auburn missed almost 30 years of Bama being a top tier program. Not exactly the same.
Well it wasn’t 30 for starters. Bama didn’t become relevant in the sport until 1924, so it was more like 25. And there were plenty of other seasons outside of the Donahue era that Auburn fielded an excellent team in that day.

Forgot that was even a thing.
Well that’s a common theme with you. You also forgot that Auburn had a better all-time winning percentage against Alabama all-time before laughably making the erroneous claim that Tennessee was more competitive in the rivalry all-time. You’ve been wrong about everything in this thread.

Lol no I didn't. But Texas has a .700 winning percentage against Bama. Does that make them the most successful program of all time vs Bama? No. You are just falling on one thing which is winning percentage. I am talking about all time. And tennessee has the most wins all time, the longest win streak, the most history, coaches quotes, players attitudes, and the fact that out of Bamas 5 national championship coaches, we have the most wins against 4 of them. Collectively we have the most success and storied rivalry. Yall just have winning percentage which is barely higher than ours and not even the highest among SEC teams lol
If all you care about is win percentage then Oklahoma and Texas are bamas biggest rivals cause they have the highest ones. Take away winning percentage which is an arbitrary argument, Auburn has nothing

Very sanctimonious thing to say from a guy who made perhaps the worst thread ever about Steven Pearl then got so embarrassed you disappeared for the whole basketball season

First season:
Stephen Pearl at Auburn…
22-16; 7-11 and NIT Champions
Rick Barnes at Tennessee…
15-19; 6-12
LOL! You seriously are the biggest idiot on this board. Good thing Lurch stepped it up in Year 2 and went 16-16.
My gosh though how embarrassed am I?!?! Not all of us can have a first year coaching performance of 15-19!

Holy pivot lol. All time dodge just then
How pathetic lol
You are one dumb son of a bitch if you are comparing what Rick Barnes took over to what Steven Pearl took over. The fact you think you can even draw a comparison is why you are a laughing stock on this forum.
Nah that title is held for someone who made a discussion post about Steven being 5-3 in conference play. If you wanna find him then put down the phone and look in the mirror

So you making a comment about Stephen Pearl and me responding is a “dodge” ? Your hillbilly schoolhouse education has done you a disservice because you clearly don’t understand what a pivot or a dodge is.

Look bud… I get watching Auburn go on a 6-year skid is like fresh meat to a hungry pitbull who is desperate to try to cope in the midst of his own team’s TWENTY-ONE season skid, but you may want to set your sights on the Mississippi State’s, the Missouri’s, and the South Carolina’s of the world if you want to win any arguments.
Tennessee has gone TWENTY-SEVEN seasons without an SEC Title… TWENTY-EIGHT since a national title. Your pathetic excuse of a football program is 1-7 against Auburn since the turn of the century and has had to watch Auburn win a national title, play for a second, and win 3 SEC titles since the last time you sniffed a chance to.
Auburn has indeed had it rough lately but the one solace in all this is at least we aren’t Tennessee.

yeah I do its literally what you are doing. We are discussing Bama and now you are talking about Tennessee vs Auburn because you have nothing more to say on the bama front. You are melting in real time

Its not a "skid." Its a full on implosion. You havent had a winning season since before covid lol

And still have more than Auburn lol. Its not even close too

Has more all time wins, a higher winning percentage, first round draft picks, total draft picks, SEC titles, CFP hall of famers, NFL hall of famers, playoff appearances, weeks ranked, weeks ranked at number 1, and bowl appearances than Auburn.

Glad we are in yalls head this much. Your one solace is that in all this losing yall are having, you dont have as much success as Tennessee? Weird.

You forgot Tenner
Tenner-Alabama
Alabama's main rival is Auburn.

And how about in your lifetime? Every Vol that is aged 75 or younger can’t say that Tennessee has more titles than Auburn… and every Vol aged 58 and younger has lived a life of fewer SEC titles than Auburn.
How old are you? How many titles have you seen your team win?

I lived in Dallas for 11 years and I hated Dale Hansen for his bias. When KCTK came on it was a breath of fresh air for the Sooners who listened.

So only a hair over 100 years. I was not there, but I suspect football was a tad different in 1923 than it was in 2023.

Gator fans prob have a different ranking of rivals but I would guess the top 3 would be
FSU
Miami
Georgia or Auburn
FSU
Miami
Georgia or Auburn

Auburns win percentage against Bama is hyper inflated because they never played Wallace Wade or Frank Thomas. They got to miss one of Bama statistically most dominant periods.
That is true.
From the 1908 to 1947 timeframe, when they didn't play each other, Alabama ranked #2 in the nation, behind Notre Dame, winning 266 games with a .766 win percentage, and 3 titles according to ncaa.com LINK
Auburn was #74 in the nation during that time, with 196 victories, .584 win pct, and 0 national titles according to ncaa.com (noted above)
Auburn was lucky not to play Alabama during that time.
eta Stassen for winning pct... LINK

Dale Hansen is an interesting guy to bring up for this thread...
I think he grew up a Nebraska fan (in Iowa) and worked in Omaha before moving to Texas. So he had hatred for OU before he ever got to Dallas.
He is an example of what this thread is about in that Oklahoma and Nebraska were rivals... but Nebraska fans had way more hatred for Oklahoma than vice versa... OU WAS Nebraska's rival while Nebraska really wasn't OU's rival... For OU and their fans... Nebraska was the team you had to beat to win the Big 8 and go to the Orange bowl. No hatred at all. But in Nebraska... they had a lot of emotion tied up in the game against OU. I remember one time actually Osborne apologized to the state of Nebraska for losing to OU.
In the later part of the history of the Big 8... Nebraska kind of had it going with Colorado... but they mostly hated the Colorado fans because of how Nebraska fans got treated in Boulder.
Now Nebraska hates Iowa... which is like looking in the mirror and hating yourself.

Having grown up in Nebraska, I don't remember Husker fans had any hatred for OU. I think it was more respect and wanting to knock off the Sooners since OU was always so good.
Since OU was Nebraska's only real competition, and I think what's really overlooked, the fact the game was played on Thanksgiving Day or the Friday after for so many years, it became a game for both teams to look forward to.
I would have to guess Oklahoma - Texas is the biggest rivalry game.
Now it's Iowa - Nebraska on Thanksgiving Friday.
