This is correct. For Alabama, I love that I could wake up in a cabin in the Appalachian foothills and then have lunch on the gulf coast with relative ease. You’re going to pass through some terrible places in between. West Tennessee vs East Tennessee is similar. East Tennessee is beautiful but the west is just not it. Georgia is similar to Alabama. Blue ridge and Savannah are very picturesque but that middle area ain’t it. Arkansas is the same way, NW vs some place like DeQueen. every state has its good and bad.
True. For Bama, my favorite place was Monte Sano State Park. Beautiful area. Also kayaking on the Cahaba River was pretty incredible.

I loved visiting Lay Lake in Alabama.
Gatlinburg in Tennessee was always fun, especially staying up in the mountains.
The Weeping Willows in Savannah are amazing:
Not exactly "prettiest", but my fondest memories of Louisiana was being able to visit Preservation Hall:
That said, while outside the SEC, I don't think I'd trade anywhere for the Shenandoah Valley where I live now:

4.) Louisiana (The nature in this state is undefeated and spring along the gulf might be the best season in the South)

I have lived in both Arkansas and Louisiana and can tell you with certainty Louisiana is nowhere close to Arkansas in terms of natural beauty

My in laws had a house on Lake LBJ where I visited a number of times and yes it is nice there but nothing exceptional in that we have lakes just like it in Oklahoma.
As for the food, I am sure they make a plate with a nice presentation but I don't see what that has to do with the scenic attributes of the state.

Louisiana isn't in the top 5, brah. Arkansas and Kentucky definitely are. You need to get out more.
Northern Arkansas and southern MO are pretty nice areas, unfortunately a lot of West Coast Wokesters are discovering this region of the US. NE Oklahoma is pretty nice too along with the Arbuckle area.

We all have a different idea of what state beauty is.
For me, there’s nothing more beautiful than a January morning in the hardwoods of the Louisiana Delta. The green palmetto against the slate grey hardwoods is awesome. I love the water and the wildlife that calls it home.
I’m not much on sitting around and just admiring the scenery.

Man you are not kidding we have some awesome lakes in Oklahoma. From Texhoma to Tenkiller to Grand to Eufaula. My Uncle lives in Arkansas and is always telling how big and nice lake Quachita is. He's taken me there a bunch and it's nice. But the largest lake in Arkansas is like the 3rd or 4th largest in Oklahoma.

You had me until you said Louisiana. That’s a no for me. I’m out.

Eufala is my favorite and Tenkiller.
In Texas Grapevine was okay if only because it was close to where I lived. It was something to look up as you are skiing and see coming in for landing at DFW jets three across and three deep in the glide path.

I’m from Texas and Texas has nothing in TN.
Not even close.
Texas hill country is great, but TN hills, mountains, rivers and lakes are unparalleled.

And then there's Lake Broken Bow, which is stunning.

None of the southern states have no scenery with the exception of Florida and NW Arkansas. And Ozarkia is nothing compared to PNW states like Montana and Washington. Those states blow it out of the water.

Born in Kansas. Raised in Tennessee. Currently living in SC. And have spent time in every state in between (and I will include Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana).
Overall: Tennessee. If Tennessee could dump Memphis and pick up Huntsville, it would be the best state in the country! Because screw Alabama, Huntsville belongs in Tennessee.
Diversity: South Carolina. Can’t go wrong with mountains AND beaches! Same thing with Georgia, but the ATL is the millstone around GA’s neck. SC has the same problem with Columbia, but Columbia ain’t Atlanta!
Food: Louisiana. No contest and I live in Charleston! No need to get into specifics. Except for…
BBQ: Memphis. Most folks know the tourist trap joints. Memphis is the absolute BEST “side of the road, place that family runs, no Internet presence whatsoever, bbq shacks area in America. Bar none. Having said that, Arkansas or Mississippi can make claim to Memphis tomorrow and Tennessee will say “You’re welcome to it!”

Living in Arkansas and traveling east, you are pretty much limited to I-40 between Little Rock and Memphis. I have driven that stretch countless times and despise it more than any other stretch of interstate in the country.
If I'm not in a hurry to get somewhere, I take the old highway that runs next to the interstate. Its a good bit slower, but it's stress free and more visually interesting than staring at the back of an 18 wheeler in the fast lane struggling to pass another truck.

The largest natural lake in Arkansas is lake Chicot and is the largest oxbow lake in North America.
