I was thinking about this earlier also. Every ESPN analyst will say "boy, there are a lot of teams around the country hoping that Texas A&M doesn't get in, because that's the last team that anybody wants to play right now. What a turnaround!"

People forget in 2007 a 2-loss LSU snuck into the BCS championship game after a crazy conference championship Saturday. That year would’ve had many three-loss teams in the current playoff format.

I think there’s multiple SEC teams that will probably end up 9-3 but are better than Ohio State and Indiana.

If BYU beats Notre Dame, a bunch of SEC fans need to start rooting for Texas Tech to start losing some random games. Two Big 12 teams in the CFP would be effed up.

Eventually you guys will accept that your league is not near as dominant in reality as in your mind. Big crowds and passionate fans and decades of tradition don’t win football games - coaches and players do. And right now, the SEC is no better than other conferences.
But I do love the rationalizations that somehow a 9-3 SEC team is better than 2 teams who just won Natties while the only SEC team who has won anything over the past 5 years is UGA.
I guess you’ll see in the playoffs, once again, that other conferences play football too.

The 5th team in the SEC dominates the ACC champion on a neutral field. The top 4 go 3-1 vs the Big 12 and big top 2.
