You know the drill. More talented than almost every team on schedule, if not all of them. Will inexplicably lose a game we shouldn't, but we may wait until the bowl game to pull off this feat. I'm really terrified to predict anything about this team until after week 1 is over. Not too concerned about Mason - Richt/Bobo are as good as anybody in the conference (country?) developing QBs, our skill talent is ridiculous, and he's a 5th yr guy.
I think one of our biggest benefits comes from our biggest weakness: our secondary is by far the biggest question mark on the team. Swann is pretty good despite what some will tell you, but others have to develop (Corey Moore, Tray Matthews, JJ Green, anybody at CB #2, etc).
What's the best cure for that?
A good pass rush - Floyd and Jenkins give us quite the tandem there
A clock eating, powerful running game - we have the best individual back in the conference and best RBs in the conference, hopefully that's enough
Opponents who can't throw the ball - ding ding ding. What QB (through the air) is supposed to scare me this year on our schedule? Dylan Thompson, maybe, depending on whether his Jekyll or Hyde form shows up? Nick Marshall? Sure, but I'm much more comfortable with that game being in week 10 at home. So, mainly Maty Mauk scares me.
A D Coordinator who specializes at DB - check
Still, we could lose a game purely bc of special teams/penalties or some fluky bounce, because that's how it seems it go.
Anywhere from 8-4 to 11-1 wouldn't shock me in the least bit.

Then keep it to yourself. I wanna enjoy this

You pigs don't hold a winning record against UGA in Little Rock so cough that one up.
Mizzou gets beaten like a red headed step child this year.
Tennessee, Florida, Auburn will be our harshly contested matches this season.
USCe might play over themselves and make something but it's not expected.

We won at UT, GT & Jax...
One of those isn't like the others. At all.
last year, GT was the best of those 3 teams
I expect that UF will have an amazing turnaround this year, maybe not on the AU from '12 to '13 level, but a big turnaround nonetheless
Will it be enough to win, or even split, games with LSU, UGA, Bama & FSU?
we'll see - throw Carolina in that mix and 7-5 is very possible.
I can't see y'all losing to anyone else though

I'm just glad that that Bama educated Supreme Czar of SEC Scheduling pulled some weight to make sure that we didn't have to play UGA this year.

So you're saying Georgia will be Arkansas' only SEC win this season?

10-2 or 11-1. going to SECCG,
only potential losses USC and/ UF; as usual.
Better than both, but no way I can put 12-0.

Georgia didn't exactly set the world on fire last year (lost to Vandy, barely beat Florida and GT). You also lost your 4 year starting quarterback and the game is in Little Rock. I wouldn't be too confident if I was a Georgia fan.

That's a little generous. I feel like we always lose one game early, especially if we play a good team.

Even Joe Cox didn't lose at Arkansas.

Joe Cox didn't have to play in Little Rock.

8-4 losses to Carolina, Tenn, Florida and Auburn

Arkansas has in impressive record in both War Memorial specifically and in Little Rock generally (winning percentages > 70% for each). Out of curiosity, what games have been played there in, let's say, the Richt era and what is Arky's record? Or more pertinently, since 1992? I ask because I genuinely don't know and google on my phone = crap results.

8-4 wouldn't shock me, but I'll shite myself if we lose to UT.
