re: Bama's Gymnastics Coach to Retire

As other UGA posters have said, it will probably hurt the program a little bit, but it shouldn't be a drastic drop off. Guess it all depends on how the new coach fills in.
re: Would you trade a starting LB and DL on your team for the Nkemdiche brothers?

In a heartbeat. Wouldn't trade them for our best LB and DL though.

The fact is that Miami has THE best player in the NBA, a washed up Wade, and Bosh who doesn't get the ball enough to get hot most of the time. After that they have nothing. The Spurs are loaded.
I definitely think the Spurs have a great roster, but Pop puts them in position to play their best basketball. Didn't play a single player more than 30 minutes all season so their legs would be fresh for the playoffs, and the way the Spurs offense moves the ball is flawless.

Coaches vs. Players

Best Coach in the NBA - Gregg Popovich
Best Player in the NBA - Lebron James
Just shows how important coaching is.

Yep. Same with people that think he isn't the best player in the world right now.

He was one if the best match play amateurs in the world. Not sure how he'd be left off.
You only pick 2 of the guys that don't make the squad. That list of guys could easily include Phil, Tiger, Zach Johnson, Steve Stricker, Keegan, Hunter Mahan, Snedeker, and Rickie Fowler. I could easily see him being left off.
re: Golf Board: need help with slice

It completely depends on what your swing looks like. Take a video of your swing and ask a knowledgable golfer what you can do to improve it. I had no idea I was coming inside with my swing until someone I was playing with pointed it out. If you don't have time for that, all of the other advice that has been given should help you out.

Kaymer is in the same place he was to start the day, 5 up. Except now there are fewer holes to play and less people chasing him. If he realizes that he's fine.

Isn't the US Open always a Par 70?
It is more often than not but I know Pebble is a par 71 during the US Open because they turn hole 2 into a par 4 and they do the same with Torrey Pines at hole 6. Both courses normally play at 72. Congressional is a 71 and might do the same thing, but I've played Pebble and Torrey and it was par 72 both times.

They have a better chance than LSU (and the Dawgs, I know)

Maybe he is still a Dawg at heart and is going to return the favor for this. I'm sure Auburn fans already love him though. He's a pretty cool dude, just couldn't get his head on straight in Athens. Wish the best for him except for one game out of the year.

In all honesty, that has got to be the most idiotic logic I have ever heard in my life
How would you define a superstar out of curiosity? I'm open to interpretation on what people think, but I've always thought you have to be a top 5, maybe top 10 player in the league to be considered a superstar. My main issue is with people considering guys like Irving and Love superstars when they haven't even reached the playoffs yet.

Doc Emerick is the best announcer in all of sports.

along with the ones youve mentioned, id prob throw in Derrick Rose, Carmelo, and maybe Dwight Howard into the mix. CP3 is def a superstar in my eyes. So in conclusion, there are maybe 10 in the whole league
That's what I'm not sure of.
In order I'd say Lebron, Durant, Kobe, Duncan (him and Kobe because of what they've done), CP3, Blake Griffin, Melo, Rose (would be higher if he hasn't been injured), Dwight Howard, Paul George and maybe Steph Curry. I think the list has to stop after that. Kevin Love would be better than every other player on the list but it would be absurd to remotely classify him as a superstar. I have no problems with CP3 being a superstar, but after that I think it gets questionable. A superstar not only transcends the game, but the league in general. For example I could understand Duncan not being classified as a superstar even though he is the best power forward to ever play the game because he doesn't transcend the league in the same way that so many others do.

Other UGA rivalries have been covered pretty well. But I'm shocked the Hobnail boot hasn't been mentioned yet.

As for Conley and Lowry, no doubt they have gotten better. Tons of players do. Neither will ever be super stars. Name me a player that has reached super star status in their 9th year? Lowry just had a career year..in his 9th season. I just don't get how these guys have anything to do with the discussion.
This guy gets it. I'd argue there are only 3-4 superstars in the league right now: Lebron, Durant, Kobe, and Duncan (he at least was, don't know if he still counts). I think it all really depends on what your definition of a superstar is. I think Paul and Love are close to being top 5 players in the league, and I wouldn't even call them superstars because Paul has never made a conference finals and Love has never even made the playoffs.
