1. You are a Baylor fan and have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to competitiveness of the SEC.

oh, LSU will make noise this year. sure, we have a harder schedule than bama or a&m but we should have a better team than last year. better at every position but kicker. we have a damn strong OL, great running backs, very good WR's and a serviceable QB with experience. last years team, which was not mediocre, lacked a lot of what this team will have. my comments about the polls are just spouting off about so many fans that seem to predict wins based on hype. LSU vs UF in Atlanta wouldn't surprise me a bit.

Barely beating the worst Arkansas team ever followed by losing to a sub-par Clemson team in a December 31st bowl is the definition of mediocrity.
Anyone can put together an easy schedule and get to 10 wins like LSU did last year.

I noticed you didn't mention defense, probably because LSU lost all of their players from last year.

Who gives a shite what reporters or coaches THINK of your team before anyone's played a snap. Even if they have you at #126, you run the table in the SEC, you play for a championship.

we lost a lot. but since we played the most freshman of any sec team we will actually have as much or more experience than last year. and, unlike arkansas, our #2 players have as much talent as the #1 guys, just lack the experience. you will see the same smothering smash mouth defense at LSU as the one that kicked y'alls arse last year. you know, the mediocre guys.

Polls shouldn't come out til October play some fricking games first. Teams in the top 5 already have advantage unless they drop 2 in the first month.

I saw a LSU team that struggled to get by a team that had given up on the season and was still being coached by the clown show led by John L. Smith.
So all you are telling me is LSU will slip further into mediocrity this year and if anything they are ranked too high in the pre-season polls.

Why get worked up about who believes what about LSU right NOW?
I love the football season and look forward to enjoying each game.
I'll cheer like hell for LSU to win each week until they lose one (IF they do) and then...I'll cheer harder.
IF LSU wins out, it won't matter whee the were ranked to begin. IF LSU loses 2 or 3...it wouldn't have mattered if they were unanimous #1 pre-season.
And why "hate" on the opponents? Crap...I like good games and prefer to play good teams.
