don't think this would happen, but what if Alabama got blown out by Georgia? And I mean really blown out, like by more than three scores.
Nothing I’ve seen from either team would lead me to believe that one team will blow out the other. Both are in regardless. The difference is if Bama loses. They are on the road somewhere

I agree it won't happen this year, but it will probably happen in some championship game in the next few years in one of the major conferences. What happens then? How do you say a championship game won't punish a team if they get blown out? How do you keep the game if it is all risk and little reward?

Biggest joke of these rankings is OU at #8. The epitome of the committee just looking at the record. Their offense is absolutely terrible. Defense wasn't that impressive in Dallas either. Their OOC games were Kent State, Illinois State, Temple, and a very mediocre Michigan team at home. I think Notre Dame and Miami would both beat them. They should be around #14 or 15 behind Vandy and Texas.
I absolutely find myself disgusted agreeing with a Texas fan...but...you are 100% correct on this assessment.
The CFP committee is an absolute joke....

Yeah. I agree. This has to be reworked.
It’s all about wins and losses…until somehow, it isn’t.
It’s about strength of schedule… until somehow, it isn’t.
Some teams get torched that they “haven’t played anybody” other teams get applauded for it
Very little of this makes sense at this point.
Make it 16 teams. Top 16 go to the playoffs. (Hell, make it 32, even better and have one less regular season game. Who cares about the cupcakes)
Conference championships are not in the calculus.
Problem solved

Top X amount of teams will have the same problem, because it will still be decided by a bunch of douches in Dallas
You can't get rid of committee stupidity by using a freaking poll to determine the teams.
Everything needs to go to autobids. 4 SEC autobids and 4 Big 10 autobids
The committee will be replaced by a BCS-type metric that will NOT pick the teams, only seed them
This is the way

Perhaps the results of the upcoming playoffs will determine if your opinion is valid or just an example of a butthurt fan disparaging a team they despise (for obvious reasons).

ND should be out regardless.
So should OU. No idea how they’re ranked 8 with that offense.

Notre Dame has no place in the bracket. Join a conference and play a real schedule

Alabama and BYU
will be out after the weekend
will be out after the weekend

Not a chance Alabama gets dropped.

Bama won’t be left out for playing an extra game per Nick Saban’s rant and committee won’t ignore anything tGOAT says. Just don’t see anyway committee bars Notre Dame after a 10-game win streak when they were in the championship last season. If committee was to put Miami in over ND they would’ve ranked them ahead of ND this past week. It is what it is.

The (8) vs (9) game would be interesting. If ND has to go to OU, I think the Sooners can create lots of problems defensively for The Irish. Whereas I think if Miami got in the playoff, their receivers would be a problem for a lot of defenses. ND is much improved defensively but have they really been tested outside of TAMU, Miami and USCw?

We’re in if BYU and Bama loses.
Unless Bama get’s blown out, something like 36-10, they are in.

If Offense was the only thing needed to win then I am sure Texas would of made the playoffs lol
So should OU. No idea how they’re ranked 8 with that offense.

If committee was to put Miami in over ND they would’ve ranked them ahead of ND this past week. I
