I mean, we’ve not given up more than 19 points this year. You can think our offense hasn’t been great but when you only need 20 points to win..that’s a pretty good team.

Your defensive front 4 are nasty.

SEC defenses in general are very talented. I think that’s what makes the SEC the best conference- elite defenses.

2019 LSU had an incredible offense but that level of offense isn’t typically seen and with the exception of them, you typically need a strong defense in the SEC to compete for titles.

Tennessee has that this year.

This is what my amateur numbers have. I'd probably bump A&M up to about 15 and Oklahoma down to about 45, but other than that looks reasonably accurate.

I mean, if we take the OP's request (power ratings RIGHT NOW), Ole Miss should be 1. They annihilated Arkansas in Fayetteville and then dominated the Georgia game.

Yeah TN is gonna be a problem even though the game’s in Athens.

Hopefully my Dawgs come out looking to redeem themselves but I wouldn’t touch it on a betting site.

My unbiased opinion.

1. Ole Miss
2. Bama
3. Ga
4. Tex
5. S Carolina
6. Tenn
7. A&M
8. LSU
9. Vandy
10. Ark

As bad as GA looked last weekend they still whipped our arse in Austin and deserve to be ahead of us right now and even though I have the ags at 7, I think the game in CS is going to be a toss-up. Especially if the winner goes to the CCG.

Neutral field?

1 - Bama
1a - Georgia
3 - Texas
4 - Ole Miss
5 - A&M
6 - the stinking Vols
7 - South Carolina
8 - LSU
9 - Arkansas
10 - Vandy
11 - Missouri
12 - Florida
13 - Oklahoma
14 - Kentucky
15 - Auburn
16 - Miss state

This is a power rating, not a ranking. Bama can beat anyone in the country on a good day. Unfortunately they’re capable of losing when they play poorly to anyone in the top 50. Georgia is pretty much in the same boat.

I debated having South Carolina higher. When they’re on, they’re a handful for anyone.

UGA will sort a lot of this out this weekend. TN wins and they are legit, they lose an they are the team that lost to Ark, needed OT to beat Fl. No real dominate win in the sec vs a team with a pulse.

I agree with this. UTK has had a pretty easy row to hoe with their toughest game at home (Bama), and a lot of meh overall. They beat UGa, then they're in.

They don't, and well, who TF knows who is legitimately good.

I don't know how you fix it, I really don't. But the disparity in schedules this season is something else. I thought divisionless football was supposed to help. Instead you have Texas with their best conference win against Vanderbilt, while Oklahoma and Florida get sent through a plate glass window.

He also said since our loss we are playing elite....since yells loss yall are the same below average offense and outstanding defense. Let's not sugar coat it...if the vols make any noise it's because of that defense. Other than your RB the rest of that side of the ball wouldn't start for any of the top half sec teams.

According to the OP, Tennessee has a recent win against the #1 team in the SEC (They aren't) - so a better win than OM, less losses than OM, better losses than OM & are ranked higher by the AP & Coaches polls. We don't need the approval from some random Ole Miss fan from Corinth to let us know if we're legit or not. You're not credible nor that important my guy

I don’t see how you can have them any higher than 6. At least UT beat Bama.

Texas's best win is over a 5-5 Big 10 team. Their schedule has been a cakewalk outside of UGA who beat the F out of them.

Alabama is ranked higher than Georgia, so are you saying that Ole Miss doesn't have a win against an SEC team with a pulse as well?

Both Alabama and Ole Miss make a power ranking hard to do. When either team is playing at the top of their game, they are almost unbeatable. But both teams are also capable of playing very, very down, at which point they can lose to almost anyone. Weird year in the conference.

I think Alabama and Ole Miss would crush Tennessee right now

But three games ago Tennessee beat Alabama. That is worth something. Some teams just seem to know how to win ugly. And almost every championship contender has one or two of those games per season.

So, according to you, Ole Miss has been playing elite since their loss to Kentucky, but Tennessee has been playing below average since their loss at Arky. Well then, tell me, when did OM's second loss happen?
