Now it's time for them to rule out bringing in professional athletes as Scout team players.

Who the hell's bringing in professional athletes as scout team players?

Huh?

They lose their amateur status the moment they become professionals. You don't just revert back to amateur because you're in between teams

You're right

Trent Richardson definitely does not deserve the term professional athlete

When there is a rule about former players shaking the hands of visiting recruits, I'd imagine another Saban rule is forthcoming.

Uh, that's not how it works. You think they could just enroll at a university and use their last year of eligibility or something?

I almost asked what in the world you were talking about...then I realized I don't really give a shite.

"Professional" is a level of achievement in most sports or in other words once you progress from amatuer to pro you dont go back. This would be regardless of employment status or retired status

Michigan is gonna go 20 years without playing for a national championship.

I don't care if they have 2,000 victories in their history, that puts them under enormous pressure.

None of them were playing on any team in the league. They were BUST or just not good enough to make a team.

I believe the spirit of college football is to take your team, i.e. your roster (all 85+) and compete against their roster. Not bring players in from the outside to broaden your roster. Call it what you want to but it is what it is...it's cheating. It's like what Belichick would do with spying on other teams I legally. It's cheating pure and simple.

Somebody has to be the next Sandusky, seems another B1G like Michigan is setting itself up with all these sleepovers.
