I feel like LSU is better than #14 but probably no better than .500 in conference play.

UGA will be a NCAAT team. No idea where that puts us in the SEC.

Hard to read too much into exhibitions but they are some of the only data points we have and maybe more important indicators given the year to year turnover now thanks to the portal.

I remember a few years back Texas had a dominating win over Arkansas in an exhibition and ended up making an Elite 8 run.

The results in this year’s exhibitions have given me some hope Texas could be pretty good. They won both of them including whipping TCU 80-52. For reference, that same TCU team just beat Arkansas in an exhibition.

Texas has a dynamic 5 star kid that can really light the scoreboard up in Tre Johnson. Maybe the best scoring true frosh we will have had since KD

We’ll see should be interesting! Bit of a downer that Texas is expected to be without Tramon Mark in the game against Ohio State tomorrow

No shot LSU finishes at or worse than 14th in the conference. Not saying we’re going to be great by any means, but we should be somewhat close to last year

I think Auburn finally has the guard play to exceed expectations in the tourney this year.

We finish top 3 in the conference I think.

1. Alabama (1/2 seed NCAAT)
2. Auburn (2/3 seed NCAAT)
3. Tennessee (4/5 seed NCAAT)
4. Arkansas (4/5 seed NCAAT)
5. Kentucky (5-7 seed NCAAT)
6. Florida (5-7 seed NCAAT)
7. Texas (6-8 seed NCAAT)
8. Georgia (8-10 seed NCAAT)
9. Ole Miss (8-10 seed NCAAT)
10. Texas A&M (8-10 seed NCAAT)
11. South Carolina (last 4 in)
12. Mississippi State (last 4 out, NIT)
13. LSU (NIT)
14. Oklahoma (NIT)
15. Missouri
16. Vanderbilt

Don't think there will be any terrible teams in the league this year. Would not be surprised at all to see the winner go 13-5 and the last place team go 4-14 or 5-13.

All 16 teams are in the Top 100 in KenPom and 15 of the 16 are in the Top 67. Arkansas, Ole Miss and Georgia will be improved; Kentucky will be solid, Carolina and State aren't going away and the bottom 4-5 teams will all be capable of beating good teams.

The SEC/B12 make up 13 of the top 21 (62%) and 27 of the top 70 (39%) in KenPom. That's wild.

And I don't have a clue how the conference will work out. Too many good teams that are going to knock each other off all season.

Why Kentucky will be my #1. They have a coach again that actually makes his players practice, rather than just rolling the ball out there and seeing what they can do on talent alone.

I predict lots of close games between a lot of near equal teams. different strengths and weakness will make it hard to compare. Hopefully, all make noise in the tournament.

I also predict many Hog and Wildcat fans will focus so much on each other they may not realize who else is good.

For clarification, I think Alabama wins the conference by 2-3 games. I think the margin from teams 2-5 will be separated by just 2-3 games. Gonna be super jammed at the top

I am anxious to see how the transfers at State pan out. I am biased, but I really think we are going to have one of the best defenses and will be much better on offense. My guess is we finish 6th or 7th in the league.
