Notice I didn't say it was the best. Just like our win over LSU last year was not Mac's best. But what happens if LSU loses that game a week after losing to Troy at home? Winning that game, nevermind the opponent being Florida, changed the trajectory of LSU's season.

McElwain with a QB beats out Orgeron with an Etling-level qb.
Orgeron with Etling probably (and in fact did) beats out Mac with whoever FLA has trotted out this season.
But if I really had to choose between the two solely based off of coaching and performance, I'd take Mac. Although Orgeron seems a better recruiter.
