Do you think Bama football started in 2008?

They do, because 90% of their fans only jumped on the bandwagon once Saban showed up.

Why? LSU won a natty after Saban left. Oklahoma and Ohio State have both been playoff teams after their natty title coaches left. IDK why people just assume Bama will fall off a cliff after Saban. I mean maybe we will maybe we wont but its certainly far from a given.

Because those coaches were fired. They didn't have to follow the GOAT with similar expectations. You're gonna get a P5 coach if you're lucky, but will likely settle for some coach from Fresno state or something.

Rarely anyone wants to be the man that follows the man. They rather wait for the next coach in line to frick up and get fired.

Funny how Bama is the #1 job now but never was top 10 in these polls before Saban arrived.

Bama has hired the best 2 coaches in the history of the sport. Must be a good job.

So they take the playoff teams and try to answer that question, once again. So lazy.

The best job is the one that fits you to a T. For anyone. The job will never make the man at BAMA.

I don’t remember Bama having 50 straight years of #1 recruiting classes and winning 1 out of every 3 NCs before Saban.

But pretend that will keep up all you want.

You won 1 NC between 1979 and 2009. It’s not like any coach can walk in there and do what Saban does.

It won’t be a top 10 job when Saban is gone. Toughest act to follow in history with no chance of continuing his success.

How attractive of a job it is after Saban will depend on how he goes out. If there’s a decline in the few years leading up to his retirement and the new coach needs to build back to Saban’s level of success to make fans happy, it will not be an appealing job.

But if the new coach is taking over the most talented roster in the country with recruits in the pipeline, it will be appealing.

This plus top notch facilities, one of the highest paying HC jobs in CFB and a culture that has been in place for a long time.

The job will be very appealing to ambitious coaches who will earn generational wealth if they are good at their job
