Boomers are saying they are looking to add several more. Seems a bit far fetched if you ask me

I don't mind the schools but I really don't want their posters.

Texas and Oklahoma make us all even richer, so it’s kind of a no brainer.

Technically speaking both Austin and Norman are south east of 39°50'N 98°35'W, the geographic center of the lower 48.

Good Lord, LSU would rule that division like a tyrant.

Noooooo! Already had a UT fan tell me that the SEC isn't all that great, we lost all our bowl games last year (Big12 teams did not) and that the SEC approached UT and OU because it's desperate for them to join.

I voted NO. NIL is driving this as no other conference will be able to compete with the SEC. Large recruiting edge for the SEC.

Why should we do anything to help Texas and Oklahoma/

Only scared people don't want better teams to join the conference.
Further, we need a 10 game conference schedule.

You are an SEc team trying to make the playoff and you must play Alabama , Texas , Oklahoma , LSU , Auburn , and let’s say Georgia or Florida and Clemson will have to play who again to be eligible?

Anyone voting yes is a fricking moron. Unless you're modern day Alabama, it's only going to make it exponentially more difficult for your team to not only win the natty, but to make the playoffs or even win the conference. If you want this you essentially want to make it intentionally harder for your own team to succeed.

Blah…Blah…Blah
With a likelihood of RE-arrangement of East -West teams. Bama/Auburn slide east. Yea, no dawgs in Atlanta for the foreseeable future.

I hate OU and Texas, and adding a corporate powerhouse like Texas is a dangerous game. However, with the changes coming to college football, this might actually be the best move. I think super conferences are un-avoidable, as people pointed out, so if we are gonna be funneled into this route anyway, we might as well nab a few solid schools before things really start to spiral out of control. If the conference continues to operate with the way we distribute revenue, then all school will benefit financially from OU and Texas addition.

I would rather have Clemson and FSU. They make more sense.

If I were Miss State, Missouri, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Kentucky...even Ole Miss...I’d be very afraid. What’s going to happen to you ten years from now when Texas, Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma want to replace you in the SEC? Don’t think it won’t happen....ask the old Southwest Conference, when Texas ran off Univ of Houston and Arkansas. They tried to eliminate the Texas schools then, only the Lt Governor Bullock, a Baylor graduate kept it together then. Ask the Big 8, after Texas ran off Nebraska...the Big 12 after they ran off Texas A&M and Missouri. Texas and OU made promises to Baylor, Okla stare, Texas Tech, TCU...and bailed. The bottom end SEC schools will have a target on them the minute Texas/OU join the SEC.
