Wade MF Christopher the "Vestavia Assassin". Almost nobody got to see that monster play. The trainers had to sedate him before warm-ups to keep him from hurting our own players. It was said he had 40% Neanderthal DNA and once pushed a tackling sled all the way to Loachapoka before the trank darts took hold and put him down.

Yikes, I think there are only two or three guys that have been mentioned that I didn't see play.
I'm glad I got to see all these great players but what it tells me is I won't get to see all that many in the future.
For Oklahoma (my team) it would probably have to be Tommy McDonald or Billy Vessels from the 1950s.
As a kid I was always hugely troubled that the Texas coach who beat our arse every year had actually been an OU QB. So maybe Darrell Royal would be my choice.

I was always curious how good Priest Holmes was at tu bc he was such a good NFL back. Never saw him play college either.
Holmes rushed for 2,061 yards & led his HS team to the state championship game, losing to Odessa Permian.
At Texas, after a promising Jr year, tore his ACL & missed a year, came back as Ricky Williams backup.
1994 Jr. MVP of Sun Bowl 161 yds, 4 TD
1995 Sr. Tore ACL, missed season
1996 Sr. 13 TD's in 59 car, backup to Ricky Williams
In 2001, Holmes led the NFL in rushing with 1,555 yards, becoming the first undrafted player to do so.
