Every coach wants to win, but when there are deeper roots than a paycheck, it's tough for me to root against those guys. I don't think UGA or LSU could've landed better options bringing back alums. Pittman obviously has some deep roots in Arkansas and I wish him nothing but the best.

Agreed.

After two consecutive head coaches who thought they were 'better' than our program and had quite literally no clue about our history or tradition, and who both basically used us for a payday, it's refreshing to have a coach who genuinely loves the job and wants to be here.

I had reservations when the hire was announced, but his presser and his first meeting with the team sold me. There's something to be said about passion for the school you're coaching at - look no further than Orgeron.

Pittman might do well here and he might not. But he sure as hell is an easy guy to root for.

Love Pittman! He did great here at UGA, and I wish him great success! Also, the HAWGS are my #2.

Make that three coaches and a A.D. You forget about Smiley, and Long was all about himself.

I’m honestly not even upset we lost to y’all. My whole family before me were Arkansas fans and attended college there. Great grandfather was on the board of directors in the 60s. As a kid I was a Razorback fan. But growing in Ms and attending MSU I became a state fan. But I’ll always pull for the hogs to do well. And y’all better beat Auburn because frick Auburn

lol we're obviously not going to win a NC, but the goal here is to consistently win 7/8ish with double digit years sprinkled in

For the record, I don't agree with this loser mentality.

Dude... it can be spelt "Pit Boss" and be the dude in a casino in charge...

Dude I copied OPs spelling and it’s still the dumbest nickname for a coach in the SEC.

When men get older their bodies produce less testosterone and tears like this happen more easily. Especially when one is overweight.

Great video but Sam seriously needs to lose weight or the consequences will be massive LINK

He's a likable coach, but that shirt tie combo is atrocious

Love Pittman but that has to be the worst nickname ever

No idea why we didn't go with Tittman.

He's got em and everyone love em.

Funny but probably not a good idea. That said I could totally see Kiffin having that as his personalized car plate

This SEC made-up "rivalry" between Mizzou and Arky was dumb from the get-go. There's been no serious, historic dislike between the schools (or states), and now it's an even tougher sell. How can we dislike Big Sam?

He actually has lost some weight since being here. He's doing the opposite of Bert Bielema.
