First thing I thought of after the interview. I don't know how you wouldn't want to play for this man. I feel sorry for the players that had suffer at the hands of Bert and Chad's incompetence.

I expected more from Bert... knowing the success he’d had in Whiskey. Surprised me mostly because Arkansas had usually been able to field an excellent O line and very good to excellent RB’s. Didn’t quite turn out as I would have thought.

He also had success in vodka, which I think was mostly his problem.

Great interview. He is just coming right out and saying he will never leave. That is a good assurance to have from a football coach, as many of them do actually have more than one job in their adult lives.

Basically, he is saying the only way he will leave Fayetteville is in a pine box. No coach has ever made this kind of guarantee before and enjoyed coaching like he seems to. He is the real deal.

Uh don’t know if you are being sarcastic or not but the pine box statement has been made before. Tommy Tuberville said it about a week before he left Ole Miss for Auburn.

I really like him as a person and he prolly wouldnt leave for another job. But chances are history repeats itself and like with most coaches at all schools he is eventually fired. He may surprise me and stay 15 plus years, but if he only last 4 to 5 years(I expect him to last longer) do we really think he would just retire and ride off into the sunset?

I am pulling for the guy and hope he does well, except against LSU, but unless he is just one of those guys who says I have enough money, I doubt this will be his last job.

If it is

I’ll allow it. Seems like a really good dude and the Hog fans haven’t had much to cheer about in recent memory.

They have a great stadium and scene so looking forward to watching some competitive games up there.
