This is not guaranteed though. I mean it's obvious Georgia was on par with Alabama last season. We lost in overtime on a busted coverage. With Kirby recruiting the way he is, this is far from guaranteed that he will another. That's not diminishing his track record at all.

have you seen any UGA fan that said they wouldn't take Saban?

OP can you update post with the vote tally? Someone earlier said "too close to call" so just wanted to see the early returns.

Alabama has lost to someone every year since 2009. Those teams that beat Alabama were on par or better than Alabama for a moment too.

None of those teams recruited like uga is though.

This thread sounds like another therapy session where a few Georgia fans fight off the haunting demons from the national championship loss.

In this thread we see the crippling insecurity that shakes this conference. No shite Saban is better at the moment, but Kirby is the future of SEC coaching. "He needs to prove himself!" they yell while ignoring his SEC championship, Rose Bowl trophy, and near national title win against tGOAT coach. Not to forget about the top tier recruiting classes he has flooding into Athens.

Everyone knows Saban is the gold standard, but the minute they think about UGA's future with Kirby they all start to shite their pants sideways.

Georgia fan.

Sounds to me more like Georgia fans are trying to compare their coach who got humiliated in the Championship game with the head coach that humiliated him.

We're seeing crippling insecurity in this thread, all right.

That insecurity seems to be manifesting as a desperate need to have posters from other fanbases validate a relatively unproven coach.

Of course straws doesn't understand the meaning of "humiliation". That's what Kirby did to your boy mcelwain.

Well we sure as frick can't compare Mullen, Muschamp, McElwain, Butch, Pruitt, Stoops, O, Luke, Odom, and whoever is at MSU and Arky to Saban.

Cute. I wouldn't call what happened that game humiliation. 42-7 is humiliation. Having a coach fake death threats is humiliation. Losing a national title to the greatest coach of our generation on a busted coverage in OT is far from humiliating.

I bet if you ask the same question in two years, you will get a different answer. Kirby will be the king of the SEC in just a very short time.

Look at all this security in this thread.

I'd say it's pretty humiliating to have a true freshman quarterback lead his team to 325 yards of offense, carve up your veteran defense full of stars when the kid hasn't even been playing with the ones very much all season, but that's just me.

Losing championships must be pretty familiar to Georgia teams for what, 40 years abouts?

They make a thread titled "Pick a Football Coach: Kirby vs Saban" and then cry about others being insecure. Oh the irony.

There it is, straws talking up the elite talent of our secondary even though it was full of overmatched walk ons and 3 stars. Quite the false narrative. What leads one to creating them? Insecurity.

Not really. You just have to keep in mind that the boos always come from the cheap seats.
