Amazing what can happen when you give a coach time instead of expecting him to be Saban jr. by year 2
You could afford to give time because of tempered expectations.

You also have to recognize when a decline is happening and why it’s happening.

But yes, sometimes time is good. I think Texas should have given Herman more time.

USC not even top 10 job at the moment.

USC is a top 5 job. A competent coach is hired and he doesn’t have to recruit outside of Southern California to build a championship caliber roster. That alone makes it a major job. USC is the first choice for all of those kids the moment they make a good hire.

But that’s the thing. If Stoops left tomorrow, the next guy is not going to be given that level of patience. Expectations have been created.
Next guy also won't be left with D2 roster of talent that Stoops inherited when he came in.

Melt bitch.

A&M’s a better job than Ohio State.

Cope, seethe, dilate.

I think the ducks just scored again, I heard a loud quack.

Arkansas.

Facilities and financial support are top notch.
Lovely area to live.
Only show in the state - everyone supports your team.
Beautiful home stadium with one of the most rowdy fanbases when they have something to cheer for.
Reasonable expectations.

Expectations of being .500 overall and .373 in conference in 8 full years? B/c that's what his record it.

USC (again easier to win. Flagship in state, etc.)
Wisconsin
LSU (when they aren't retarded)

A&M is not as low as a 20-25 job but i wouldn't say top 10 either.

As a fan of a school that is a top 10 job I would know

I would not list texas as a better job than many places. Its basically just a paycheck and an appointment before a firing squad within the next 3 years

All he did was basically take the preseason top 5 and say these are the best jobs.

Is Alabama really that great if a job? If you’re Nick Saban and its rare to lose more than one game in a season, sure its a great job. Good luck to anyone who loses more than that.

OU will have a big time reality check soon when they are losing 3 games a year. Will it be a great job then?

A&M: they had their 1st taste of being good last year, but how long will their fans be ok with finishing 2-4 in the SEC and paying their coach that much?

Apparently the UGA fans are perfectly fine with being a consistent top 10 team and not winning championships. It may actually be the best place to be a coach.

So you think a coach would survive a first 3-4 seasons that Stoops had at Kentucky? Especially after what they’ve accomplished since 2016?

Did you add championships to your wall again this past off season?
